I completely agree. I took my IELTS speaking test on Dec 20, 2023, and I was very shocked when I got my result. I got 8.5/9.0 in the speaking test. The only difficult words I used during my talk with the English examiner were 'at the same time,' 'so to answer your question,' and 'eve of Eid.' I only made sure to say what came into my mind. I spoke like I was in an English city talking with a local, without the fear of the exam. I've decided to subscribe to your channel forever.

One major problem for some participants is the distance of the testing centre from where they live ( their residential cities ). This problem becomes more complex as the ielts test is in 2 parts and on 2 different dates . After finishing the test , In the next few weeks, the participants will receive a paper document by mail , proving at least 2 things. The 1st one is a verification that they had participated in a standard ielts exam on a special date. The second one is the score or mark of every participant . For participants who are living in remote cities far from the ielts test centres and they have to travel to another city for the exam , the verification aspect of the ielts test document is more valuable . Tiredness of journey , lack of enough sleep and the distance between their hotel and testing centre are all negative factors that can decrease their concentration during the exam .To say concisely, it's not fair. Online ielts testing is a good solution, but it is not provided for all participants in different countries .

Ur opinion is not wrong, its just too general, give it some depth: Band 9 vocabs & structures, they do enhance ur skills and improve ur score, but: use it when it really matter, when u really know how to use it, that's when they come into play, if u just throw a bunch in there like whatever, there will be consequenses

Thanks for the advice, everyone say that the ielts test evaluate your english level, but is the first time I heard that the mainly purpose is the communication and has completly sense and logic.

Hi Chris :) I'm from Vietnam and going to have the IELTS test in 2 weeks. Since I started to watch your videos, I always try to simplify my writings and keep it in the simplest way. But when I submitted them to my teacher, she keeps telling me to bear in mind that the IELTS test is a "language test", so that I have to show as much structures/tenses... as possible (all of the ideas I chose were OK). I don't know if this helps or not, and what should I do next because writing is my weakest skill and there's too little time left. I need your advice, please!!

What does band nine mean?

I feel like it doesn't test English, it tests jargon. I'm moving to Australia for Occupational Therapy but in the practice test I am looking at graphs. Why am I looking at graphs? I mean genuinely and I mean because I am frustrated, WHY. AM. I. LOOKING. AND. INTERPRETING. GRAPHS!? Why am I doing mathematics for an English test? Are people in these English speaking countries on a random Tuesday using language like this?

What if I just do some job that don't need lots of communication?

I dont like that they are not really testing our english but wanna test our communication skills? I JUST WANNA GET IN AN ENGLISH PROGRAM AT A UNIVERSITY IN GERMANY...why is it so stressful? I dont wanna communicate to impress anyone at my university...my entire degree was in english, but the university requires an english test as an entry requirement...i just want to prove that i can speak or write in english enough to learn and study and survive basic interactions...why do yall have to make it about as if i wanna work as some social worker in england?

That's right, but it seems to me that when someone improves his English knowledge and is familiar with ielts fundamentals, he will achieve higher goals and will get an acceptable ielts score . This is why I feel I can get an ielts test unprepared. This is just a personal belief.
