Was my prize on the shooting range at Anderton & Roland's fair, Exmouth, 1978. Dropped out of the dodgem car on a sharp bend, instantly sustained third degree scratches, but rescued and played for 2 months solid. My first piece of vinyl and I loved it.

A terrific track from 77 that doesn't get played nearly enough on radio. It was the Imperials only UK Top 20 hit- none of their iconic 60s hits with Little Anthony made the UK charts.

Double A-side "Better Use Your Head" / "Gonna Fix You Good" was a minor hit, reaching number 42 in the UK in 1976, but I take your point about no major hits for the previous incarnation.

This was after LITTLE ANTHONY, SAMMY STRAIN, and ERNEST WRIGHT left the group....and CLARENCE was the only ORIGINAL MEMBER left....CLARENCE is on the far left, Sammy's replacement HAROLD JENKINS is in the middle ...and is that BOBBY WADE on lead ?

Released in the UK on the Power Exchange label.... whose only other chart entry was the vomit-inducing number 1 "No Charge" by JJ Barrie! Polar opposites!
