Those days were wild. I didn’t argue too much but I would be annoyed if they shipped a pairing that grinded my gears which thankfully wasn’t often and I was pretty open-minded about most odd pairings. I love rare pairs lol. In the end I just held my tongue and sighed. What can you do?

omg thank you, it was a wild time and kind of crazy that so much was happening. Really makes you realize we had all been living on borrowed time because the reaction to the ending was so divisive. Honestly, an open ending would have been the safer recourse, which would have made the Boruto series that much more shocking.

@@DayDayDoes 'Wild' is an understatement. It was massively chaotic. Borrowed time to enjoy the calm before the storm because NO WAY was the reaction even remotely peaceful. To this day, I don't think any ending could top Naruto's for the 'worst setup for a sequel' title. AOT ended, but even that was a catastrophic recipe for harmony amongst the fans. Antis vs. Pros. Shippers vs. Shippers. Online hate vs. actual criticism. Everything got so muddled that it screwed up everything good for the franchise following the end. I kid you not, but it's ironic that a franchise so beloved by fans was killed by them for pairings... and the outcome wasn't even decent. Twist the personalities to make one work while absolutely disregard canon personalities to make the other work. Edit: I would've preferred no sequels, but the ending was a prologue to it which is even worse with the current state of the franchise.

You couldn't be a casual shipper or fan who disagreed without getting attacked by the people celebrating their canon wins. It was awful. Nobody but Kishi won towards the end (I'm sure he was happy cause it was over lol)

@@DayDayDoes Agreed. I feel like, by the end... he genuinely just wanted to get it over with. I mean, he could've worked on Boruto, but he made Samurai 8 (got axed very quickly). That tells a lot about his thoughts on the ending. Additionally, if you notice, Naruto's entire franchise didn't just affect itself, but it also affected future mangas. Other than One Piece, I can't think of a manga that goes beyond or even upto 700 chapters. Plus, it's like shipping is taboo ground for modern mangas. They never give absolute confirmation that x&y sailed. This is why multi shipping or waiting till the end to read a manga is one of the least painful ways.

Actually, there were several hints she could develop feelings for him, but they were never expanded upon even after several unnecessary opportunities if NH was supposed to be endgame. It feels like they were going back and forth on that until ultimately Studio Perriot won with their introduction of Next Gen. And also, you could flip the script and also say dunno why people were so convinced Naruto had any feelings for Hinata, like, he was never into her

One is that studio pierrot ship ichiruki in bleach they also made a movie about it name fade to black and add tons of ichiruki filler moment for ichigo and rukia but the manga ended with ichigo and orihime becoming canon so unlike in naruto all the effort made by studio pierrot in bleach didn't matter because it didn't paid off in the end. The response is very similar as well. I seen thread on tumblr saying that final chapter is fake and fanmade because no way ichihime and renruki can happen. Also some fans sends death threat to the author because of the ships but the most toxic things is that people posted about them buring their bleach manga, destroying their dvd and merch collection to protest about the final chapter of bleach including the canon ships. Attack on titan meanwhile have an ending that devide the fans but not as toxic as naruto and bleach. Tho some fans out there decide to make their own fanmade ending in the form of a doujin/fanmanga most of which follow the bluprint of anr theory. Aot fanmade ending that are worth mentioning are aotnorequiem, aot operation usurper, aotouroboros and aot cost of freedom. Some fans called this fanmade ending disrespectfull but the creators of this fanmade ending never did what bleach and naruto fans did to their mangaka like they never post about wanting to banned naruto in the u.s unless narusaku is made canon or buring their manga, destroying their dvd and merch because ichiruki isn't canon. Attack on titan fan response on the final chapter is more mature. It's like the fan trying to say that if you (the mangaka) don't want to make an ending we (the fan) want then we will do it ourself. Tho in my opinion the reason why they are upset are understandable because unlike in bleach and naruto, the shipping in aot decide the future of the plot and impact the story significantly the route how will the story take. Like the canon one, cabin au or anr theory. I kind of wish you can make a video about it as well. It be great if you do.
