Regarding CTE, you actually can not heal from it no matter how much time off you take. The brain damage is permanent and cumulative and once you get to a certain point there's nothing you can do about it. You become destined to lose your memory, your sense of self, and everything that makes you who you are. Not only that but you get abandoned by the sport and the people that made you great, and the public, the fans, don't want to see you anymore because it's sad. Its a fate almost worse than death.

Now I'd never want to correct our lord and savior Caleb, but Ronda was a Mixed Martial Arts fighter specializing in Judo, and then joined WWE and was a novice at best in pro wrestling. When it comes to her in WWE. She was treated like a big deal/ top star from the moment she was hired, and it was forced onto the viewers. To me it was obvious that she wasn’t ready. Her promo skills “talking on the mic” were atrocious, and her wrestling was even worse. She botched moves (messing them up) constantly and had to be carried by veteran wrestlers like Becky Lynch. Most importantly, she couldn’t get over with the crowd (they didn’t like her). By the end of her career she would get practically zero reaction, which lead to her being used less and eventually they just let her leave. In wrestling getting a reaction is the most important thing, no matter if it’s boos or cheers. Ronda got no reactions.

Rhonda ruined her career because of her ego and insecurities all together. Her ego told her that she is the best after she dominated for a bit with arm bars and one style. Her insecurities and ego didn't let her try to learn, grow, and change because she was scared to change and loose. Then when she lost her ego was so big she refused to be humble and change her style a little and learn new stuff and try it out. Loosing that way is way better because I believe she would have dominated so much more if she tried to atleast step outside of her judo box. Then when every fighter saw her weakness spots and they all just exploited that because she refused to change and double down and was predictable. It was easy to dominate her just by keeping space , kicking and punching. Just don't get close to her she can't use her dominant judo and then it's easy to ko. In the end she was boring after a while

@@domthecreed7065Well the fact is she sold more PPVs than any other woman fighter by a long shot. Not only does she have the top 2 women’s PPVs but 4 out of the top 5 women’s PPVs. The only other top 5 women’s fight was on a stacked UFC 200 card which also included Brock lesnar, Silva vs Cormier, aldo vs edgar. Rousey was selling PPVs basically on her name alone, whether people were paying to see her lose or not.

MMA can use technical work like WWE does. They are both incredibly physically demanding sports and both are contact sports, WWE is a satire version of UFC. A parody of you will. Both are incredible sports that is very difficult to do. The major difference between the UFC and WWE is the fact that a lot of the stunts done in WWE are stunts, and they play a character not necessarily genuine. The UFC is more realistic fighting but there are WWE stars who went on to the UFC and did pretty well because of their experience with fighting different style of fighting. Both are considered mixed martial arts as in WWE you can have someone doing judo, taekwondo, jujutsu, krav maga, kendo, wrestling, ect just the same as the UFC. The WWE is more theatrics than realism, but that is the point. There are still genuine risks in WWE just like the UFC. They are both combat based contact sports which utilizes a wide variety of martial arts.

I was at Buffalo Wild Wings back when she lost to Holm and I overheard some random person’s conversation and he said she’s the modern day female Tito Ortiz. At first they both came in and changed the game, developed unreal egos, and people really wanted to see them get knocked out. And this guy was so right when I look back. Look at her presser during that little scuff with Holm at weigh ins. Saying “if you look she started it, that fake smile blah blah blah” sounded EXACTLY like when Ortiz had all of his buttons pushed by the great Chael Sonnen. Tito was almost crying at their presser thinking he was an actual superhero and that the people also thought of him as such.
