My parents got me one of these secondhand around 2012. It never became a daily driver for me since I already had a Galaxy Tab 8.9 at the time. My dad handled the iTunes end, so I couldn't put music or apps on the iPod myself. With the tablet, I could just download music through the browser using a KZfaq to mp3 converter or drag and drop CD rips from my laptop, as well as download whatever free apps I wanted from the Google Play Store or apk files from the browser. Never mind that the tablet had 10x the battery size. In the end, the 3rd gen iPod Touch was my only iOS device and now keeps my HTC One M7 and Samsung Galaxy S8 company on the old phones shelf. My current music player is also just my phone, a Sony Xperia 1 iv.

@@TheiTunesFanboy Tell that to my 13 year old self from back then. The audio quality was questionable anyway. I now collect CDs and have over 5000 tracks ripped from them in FLAC on the SD card in my phone.

Short Answer: I most likely cannot because iMessage works and I do not know how to get FaceTime back on iOS 6. Explanation: iMessage works natively on iOS 6, but you need to simply change your password to not end in a number if you have two-factor authentication enabled. I have heard of a tweak to fix FaceTime on iOS 6, but the developer that made it has unreliable servers and I hear it does not work anyways.
