Excellent! It’s mad the way Weller can come up with two different sets of chords for the verses. He does the same in ‘Man in the corner shop’. Great video. Thank you

Wow, great tutorial! Loved the whole Setting Sons album. This song summed up my opposition to being sent off to die by the old men so I joined the Peace Corps and I found myself in a Strange Town instead. 😀

I could only hope... I had fun doing this one. What a great song. So many parts that could be little miniature songs in themselves. Kinda like what the Beatles did toward the end of Abbey Road, with just fab little song after fab little song, showing it was absolutely NO BIG DEAL to write world class rock and roll songs, one after the other. Weller's certainly had his great creative times, hasn't he.
@oreally86053 жыл бұрын
Not really, Paul would absolutely run from anything Jam. Hates it to this day.

Do you find that flatwounds give you a more authentic sound or do you not bother? Fantastic tutorial and guitar. I'm sitting here with my new 330 and following you, so thanks!
@modfather19657 жыл бұрын
Hey... Congrats on the fab new guitar! I love flatwounds. The give a very stable even sound. Only problems with them are they are harder to bend, and you can't screech the strings. But yeah--fab sound, especially from Thomastic Infeld or Pyramid flats.
@quakerkid32807 жыл бұрын
Ah, pyramid flats. Heard great things about them. Thanks man. Keep up the great work.
@modfather19657 жыл бұрын
Flats are really nice. very stable sounding, and yeah--vintage vibe definitely. Maybe harder to bend, especially the higher gauge ones (e.g., 11's, 12's, and 13's, which all sound marvelous if you're going for a smooth sound, like Weller's "Whole Point of No Return").
