@@betarubber9546 Omar Ibn Khattab: nan took Jerusalem from the Romans without shedding a drop of blood, took no slaves, didn't loot and brought the Jews back to Jerusalem, on his way to Jerusalem he would take turns riding a single camel with his servant and wore old clothes. Abu Bakir Siddiq: He was the first Caliph in history after the prophet Muhammad and after beating the Romans and Persians in battle multiple times and having a rich empire. He lived a very simple life and lived in a small home. Harun Al Rashid: He was the greatest Abbasid Caliph and started the Islamic golden age, he also sent gift to other great rulers like Charlemagne, the Holy Roman Emperor. And of course there are Bad Muslims but you blame them for being bad not the religion. Just like how all the atrocities committed in the crusades are blamed on the Christians but not Christianity as a religioun for Christianity and Islam don't teach it's followers to commit atrocities.

John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Mark 1.15 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Hebrews 11:6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Jesus

@@dutyofcall7659 Baldwin was a fierce warrior and defender of his faith. He fought when he was numb in his hands and could barely mount a horse. He fought when he was blind at one point, he fought his last battles carried in a litter by his knights--and he defeated Saladin more than once. The battle he surprised great Saladin in and that Saladin escaped riding a racing camel, Baldwin was vastly outnumbered. He was young--and leprosy was taking its toll--he could barely ride his horse. But Baldwin had a lot of faith and he brought with him the relic called the True Cross--the cross found that was supposedly the one Jesus was crucified on. He asked his men to hold the Cross where his army could see him and he prayed for victory over the enormous foe. Many historians say he was outnumbered by thousands of men. Yet, the frail, sick teenager had his prayers answered and the great Saladin was racing for his life at the end of the day. Saladin only truly took Jerusalem once Baldwin died.

People should also know about the battles between Saladin and Lionheart. When Richard was sick, Saladin sent his best physician and a horse. He also spared King Guy and his army after the battle was concluded. When Saladin died, he didn't even left enough money for his burial thus the local Imam paid for his burial ceremony.

@@quaesitor-scientiae that the losers are captured and either a) ransomed by their families b) enslaved as enemy prisoners c) executed if they were infamously bitter enemy was par for the course in those medieval times. Both sides. Your point? At least muslims have always respected men of letters and knowledge the third option is c) ransom oneself by tutoring the muslims students how to read/ write/ languages / any branch of science and be set free after a time. Slave trader? Wow no wonder Salahuddin was filthy rich his funeral had to be paid for by the local mosque. I'll refrain from the rape and pillaging the crusader knights deemed apt for the muslim pagans and the clergy that ruled it permissible (see what I did there? Yeah we also have Christian army atrocities documented, and also recorded by the ecclesiastic no less). Both side are gonna have their say. But slave trader and child labourer is too far a stretch for Salehuddin known character and disdain for wealth, even by his enemies.

For non-Arabic speakers to appreciate the full meaning when Salahuddin says, "I am not those men, I am Salahuddin. Salah Uddin": Salahuddin in Arabic means "the righteousness/virtue of faith". He was saying that it was more than just his name, but it was his imperative to act with virtue in accordance to his faith as it is his namesake.

basically what Salahuddin showed, is just what the Prophet Muhammad PBUH teached and showed, forgiveness is better than revenge, like for example in Battle of Uhud, one of the Prophet's uncle, Hamzah were KIA by one of the Quraisy combatant, Wahsyi, and not only killed, a Quraisy woman named Hindun (the woman who asked Wahsyi to killed Hamzah) who had a grudge towards him for killing his father in the Battle of Badr desecrate his body by opening his chest , took out his heart, and ate it, but after the Prophet took over Mecca, Hindun and Wahsyi came to the Prophet, asked him for His forgiveness, and the Prophet forgave them eventhough one of them is the one who killed His beloved uncle and one of them is the one who desecrate the body

I remember watching Kingdom of Heaven back when I was young... And even back then I was awestruck by how much they respected each other despite being enemies and having different beliefs... Only to realize that almost all of those events that had happened in the film, actually happened in real life, which made me admire both of them more...

This is pretty strange. You as Westerners when you sacked Jerusalem the blood of Muslims & Jews was knee Deep in the Streets Yet you’ve turned the story of Salahudeen into somehow the story of Western Chivalry! Amazing! However I respect the sheer ingenuity!

@@shehuyakubu3751 I am from the Southeastern Asian Lands also conquered by the Spanish Catholics, but yeah, that was history. We cannot change it, but we can learn from it so as to not make the same mistakes. Growing up and by being a Scout, I deeply respected other faiths and beliefs as I see other people as my brothers and sisters regardless.

The chain of narrations for these hadiths also varies. The pledge of allegiance to Al-Mahdi at the age of 30-40 is sourced from Ali bin Abi Thalib. Muhammad Qasim is the Imam Mahdi. #MuhammadQasimDreams

Saladin: I pray you'll pull back your cavalry and leave this matter to me. King Baldwin IV: I pray you retire unharmed to Damascus. Raynald of Châtillon will be punished, I swear it. Withdraw or we will all die here. Do we have terms? Saladin: We have terms. I will send you my physicians. King Baldwin IV: Salaamualaikum. Saladin: Wa-`alaykumu s-salaam (Islamic greeting "peace be with you") .

What’s really interesting is that the Christians actually had to pay tribute for their freedom, but against his treasures advise, Saladin set the tribute fee really low and he even aloud a lot of families to leave if they couldn’t afford it. Some of the poor citizens were enslaved along with the soldiers because they couldn’t pay the tribute. Another cool’s fact is that it wasn’t just Saladin. One of his brothers bought 1000 slaves and then freed them.

He was truly a man of honor. While the Crusaders slaughtered everyone, Saladin left the inhabitants of the conquered cities alive. By the way, if we look at the paintings from the time of the Crusaders, we can see that the gas chambers of the Nazis were not a modern invention. The Crusaders used to imprison Muslim and Jewish citizens in rooms where burning wet wood was inserted, and thus all the captives died of brutal suffocation.
