Follow the day-to-day life of the 7th Light Infantry Brigade Galicia, Brilat.
The Spanish contingent of NATO's Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF) was training to deploy to Poland for exercise Brilliant Jump 2016. This story follows three members, from training to deployment and then on their way home.
During the Wales Summit in 2014, NATO agreed to create a Spearhead Force as part of the NATO Response Force, able to deploy at a very short notice. In 2016, Spain is heading the land component of the first NATO Very High Readiness Joint Task Force, the VJTF.

Hola no soy un personal militar, tengo 11 años y mi gran sueño es servir a España en el Ejercito de Tierra como un boiba verde de el Grupo de Operaciones Especiales(GOE) y se que todavia me falta tiempo para eso pero si lo sueño lo pudo hacer. Saludos.

@@rcbchip6520 sacate primero una carrera o grado superio si es posible, lo mejor que puedes hacer es asegurarte primero una buena vida como civil y luego entrar al ejercito, o entrar al ejercito y estudiar una vez dentro, pero sacate unos buenos estudios

@@cesarp.6379 Yes, Spanish Marine Infantery is the oldest, thats true. But what Naso is trying to sayin is that: In this video you can see soldiers from BRILAT "Brigada de Infantería Ligera AeroTransportada", They aren´t Spain Marine´s Infantery , they are Spain Army´s airborne soldiers.

Great to see soldiers from the different NATO countries training together. I was particularly pleased to see the Spanish soldiers training with the UK troops to help keep the alliance strong and defend our democratic values. United we Stand, Divided we fall.

¡Qué recuerdos...! En esta Unidad serví hace ya treinta y cuatro años; eran los días de la antigua BRIAT. En el actual acuartelamiento de Pontevedra (Figueirido) tenía su sede el ya desaparecido C.I.R. (Centro de Instrucción de Reclutas) en donde un día juré bandera encuadrado en la 1ª Compañía (Los Buitres). Después se me destinó al Regimiento de Infantería Aerotransportada Nº 29 Isabel la Católica acuartelado en Santiago de Compostela (no muy lejos están las instalaciones para los ejercicios de tiro de Bando). Desde luego en mis tiempos la Brigada no estaba tan bien dotada como ahora, y es reconfortante ver que todo mejora con los años. Llegué a Pontevedra un 12 de octubre (la fecha ni buscada por un guionista de "jólibu") con un grupo de chavales del 7º Reemplazo de 1984. Tenía entonces 19 años de edad. Un saludo y gracias por el vídeo. Viva España, viva el Ejército, y viva la Brigada. P:D: a los nostálgicos esta frase sin duda les evocará aquellos tiempos de guardias y maniobras: ¡¡¡Dos piedras!!!

We have a lot to share and learn from each other in NATO. Proud of Spain, my country. Even more proud of my brothers of the Spanish military. I am now in the GC, but a soldier will be a soldier forever. Sometimes I miss that life. Military salutations to all members of NATO, specially to the Spanish Legion, Royal marines, and marine corps.

Aunque el Español es un idioma mas hablado en el mundo que el ingles (si no me equivoco estaria en el segundo o tercer puesto de los mas hablados), entre los miembros de la OTAN es mas comun encontrar angloparlantes que hispanoparlantes por lo que a nivel operativo sigue siendo mas util el ingles como lengua comun en operaciones conjuntas.
