Two weeks have passed since Tokyo Mew Mew New ended and I'm still thinking about it. Mainly because I loved it a whole lot~ Please PLEASE go support it on hidive!!
Also this is what happens when I chip away at several different ideas at once. BAM! Bunch of things. Don't get used to it.

I have such a special spot in my heart for tmm! It was the first anime I ever finished watching when I was younger. This reboot was so fun to watch weekly

Ah, so the aliens here are basically Silurians from Doctor Who (yet to actually watch Mew Mew despite having it surround me for years during my teens).

Speaking about it, I have volume one of the manga of Tokyo mew mew even when I was a little girl I always wanted to be like a magical girl like that, and it was like a childhood dream of mine

Tokyo Mew Mew New was the first magical girl anime I saw. I watched it not long after the first season ended and loved it so much I then watched the original series after the reboot ended I admit part of my autism is that it can be really hard for me to be interested in a lot of stuff. I sort of have a limited amount of interests (I'm mostly only into dolls, nail polish, preschool shows, pink, sparkles, skirts, dresses, jewelry, stuffed animals, and ribbons) and i'm not really into action shows (I do want to watch more magical girl action shows). I don't think action shows are bad (I don't even like calling media bad), they just arent my tastes. Tokyo Mew Mew (both OG and New) ended up being an exception and I think part of it is because in addition to it helping me come out as a transwoman, it also feels really empowering with the transformations, cutesy weapons, sparkles, and outfits It also warms my heart more than most other shows I feel. I love the friendship between the five girls in the show and the romance between Ichigo and Aoyama. It was a show that melted my heart so much. I also love its message about protecting the environment since I love nature so much

Great vid! What was interesting to me as someone who read the manga back in the day but never got to see the anime, seeing how much anime0first fans still really like New has piqued my interest in giving the 2002 anime a shot. Also, still gonna be hoping and wishing for a New OVA or movie or limited series where we can get Berri & Ringo. T-T

I absolutely suggest you watch the original series! It has a lot of charm to it that still holds up~ Also an A La Mode sequal anime would be so dope I could scream.

Honestly I really do hope in New Mew we have a chance to see Mew Berry and Mew Ringo get some anime rep at some point in time since i feel like noone knows who they are sometimes---

I feel like Ringo is less likely, since she was supposed to be a special game-exclusive character. I can't really figure out how she would be brought into the main story ;; BUT Berry would be absolutely amazing and I hope we hear some news in the future.
