The key to a profitable 2 Man crew is that each team member should be trained and must become proficient in their roll in the crew. It should be like a dance.

To you guys, it's no disrespect but where we come from.. not everybody but alot of us.. we have moms, dads, uncles and other relatives, friends or people whom happen to live in the same zone literally turning into zombies. Also, remember the economic vitality of our locations.. and how other people are willing to get others strung I order to make ends meet. But at the end of the day.. not all black people are for us.. it's nice to see a few people that might be.

Basically the key to a two crew is to have one mow while the other trims and edges that way both finish around the same time. And if one happens to finish before the guy who finished first starts cleaning up, blowing the excess grass, and putting the equipment back into the trailer/truck. Usually cleanup will include both persons since they will have complex their tasks around the same time.

i love seeing workers that actually care about the yards they maintain. most conpanys around here do the job right then there are some hacks dont edge dont trim everything. dont blow off the street/ curbline. granted each yard is different and were in the suburbs/rural country side. lots of farms/farmhouses. big open propertys but the key to success is a nice and tight route. most money per hour. weve got a neighbor hood with 8 yards first stop 4 more second stop, and one big one last stop 13 yards 2 guys 3-3.5 hours mow trim edge blow off weekly nothing smaller then 1/2 acre most average 1 acre of grass on that stop. allways adouble cut at 4.75" tall and thick grass. aerated overseeded dvery year fertilized once a month on contracts.

I really like the professionalism which you and the crew maintain. The uniforms, along with the safety vests, make the whole team one solid and presentable unit. I'm oftentimes baffled by the complete lack of presentation that some shops/biz portray. You guys have that taken care of. Best of luck with the business.

@Jim Welsh -- I don't know where you work and it may be okay within your company to wear hoodies, but uniformity, along with a clean appearance is night and day difference when providing a service to a home owner.

I know some people physically can't do the work but for those who can it always surprises me when they still chose to spend 2-3K per year on lawn care instead of just dropping 5-6K on a decent mower and spending 20-30 minutes a week on it. Even a big yard can be done in 45 minutes with a good mower.
@Bladesofgrasslawncare
@Bladesofgrasslawncare 6 жыл бұрын
Good point but theres more to just riding a mower to make your yard look good. Theres edging sidewalks and driveway and string trimming were the mower doesnt cut and theres blowing the clippings. I equate it to getting your oil change, yes you can do it your self but we still pay for the convenience, thanks for your comment!
@theinternets7516
@theinternets7516 6 жыл бұрын
This is true. I do my own yard work but only trim every other week and I only edge about once a month if that. My yard is 1.8 acres. It would cost me a small fortune to have it professionally maintained.

Tell your guy he needs to keep the weed eater head on his left while he walks backwards. It helps throw the grass away from where your about to cut, you can almost run while doing it walking backwards, if you walk forward your straining your back and arms and the already cut grass lays down in front and slows you down, essentially making your weed eater cut the grass twice
