In 1995 my son was a two year old playing with his toy cars on the coffee table during that final, now he is a dad himself. 28 years we have waited to again see this ancient rivalry in the game that is the pinnacle of rugby union. @@shintenkai1648 But the issue is that you have to belong to Squidge and Wibble's gang in the first place in order to get on the YT algorithm. Rugby analysis has become so bad and at the same time these two, DC and friend, on screen, Squidge, Wibble, 2Cents, Distracted Sports, Ross Karl on Sky, Rugby Analyst, Alfred Reynolds, OffTheBall in Ireland, Molloy and Kearney on RTE, David Flatman on ITV, Andy Goode, Jim Hamilton, Andy Rowe, the people who run GBR, ALL part of the same little gang - and you don't even get near the screen unless you belong to their little gang. Danny Cipriani certainly knows his stuff. Was impressed how he interpreted each team's way how they handled different phases of play. He nailed how the AB's have their strength out wide which no team has been able to handle. The bokke use their wings at the back is interesting as I never really noticed, but explained, it now makes sense. I agree 👍 💯, if it is very wet then the bokke have an advantage... but if is dryer then this plays to the AB's strength 💪. Well presented, I must admit this happens to be one of the better ones without bias. Just can't split the teams at the moment. My heart ❤ is with the AB's 🇳🇿 .

@@1jet1 Agreed on the missing players... but I think you have it wrong regarding the wet weather though. It is very difficult to dominate in the scrum in wet weather without both sides collapsing. I really believe that the AB's are favourites as the weather is going to be very wet for the next 4 days. The wet weather negates the Springboks strengths unfortunately. I just hope Rassie is going to get his strategy right.
@1jet1

@@glen1482 It was pretty wet when the bokke played England the other night. Rassie got it right for the scrum & they didn't have any difficulty managing the head keeping it tight with the quick ball in, then out quickly before England collapsed the scrum, but, the ball was already out & traveling. I was surprised how they subdued Eben and also Kolbie. There was little handling errors by SA in the wet, & when England tested them under the high ball I was amazed how easily these were taken. We haven't played in wet for a long time, this would now favor SA as they have had a practice run which they were successful. Yes, the weather forecast looks pretty bad. I guess on the day, it will be whomever handles the conditions the best 👌.

Great analysis. Cipriani is a fantastic thinker about the game. That being said, how nice would it be if non-World Rugby-owned-properties had access to this footage and could show it on their channels? Might help with trying to spread the love of the game, which we're all trying to do. Just seems fantastically short sighted. Especially when the formats that World Rugby has been putting out were basically pioneered by independent content creators.

Nice thought but Bok power was grounded in our hugely flawed nation which needed relief. Honestly, I thought the AB's would win it (but not by a thrashing - Boks too class for that) and if that had happened I would not have been gutted. As it turned out, we were competent but also had the rub of the green. AB's playing just next door to home in 2027 and I'm sure your boys will be bloody hard to beat then!

Fully agree, SA struggled with this in the wet weather. Weather report predicts rain again on Saturday. If I was AB's, I would test SA there, put pressure and milk the penalties and take possible line breaks and wide play. If SA is solid with the high and chip kicks, AB's are in trouble... SA still the best defence in the WC, and from set piece domination they can control the game. Mental and Physical fatigue might play against SA. If SA leads by half time, I don't see AB's taking the cup. First half will be make or break for AB's...

Here is another way to look at it. A cold analysis. The Achilles Heel and greatest source of criticism of this AB side has been its inconsistency. They can play amazing rugby and then get beaten by Argentina (for the first time ever), or lose a series to Ireland in home soil (first time ever), or have its worst loss ever - against South Africa, right before the RWC - or lose to France in the first game of the tournament ((first loss ever in group stage). So…. Let’s look at it this way. The ABs got ran over by the Springboks and then lost to France. After that, they had no real challenge up to the Quarterfinals agains Ireland. They played a great game, but it boiled down to details, and if it wasn’t for Jordie Barretts’ miracle tackle in the Try zone, they would have lost the game. The game against Argentina was a scrimmage: the Pumas did not deserve to be in that Semi-final. In other words, after the losses to South Africa and France, NZ played one important game, agains Ireland. They played well but did not win by a large margin and Barrett pulled a rabbit out of his hat. On the other hand, South Africa has shown amazing resilience, composure and a very, very thick skin. The battled their way to the Finals. Based on this perspective, as much as I would like to see the All Blacks win, the odds are for South Africa.

After not having high expectations for this RWC seeing the All Blacks leave NZ on a high after beating the Boks in SA & NZ only to get spanked hugely in Twickenham & then by france in their first pool match. The haters came out. All Blacks were written off by many, only to rise & rise again, The Boks have had a couple of very close matches while the All Balcks have had a couple of maches where they stretched their legs and played expansive running rugby, to completely dominate teams that had over achieved until those games. The Boks are a quality side, defending champions, while the All Blacks also are a quality side with this team only recently coming back from the depths of despair. I think if the all blacks can play fast paced expansive running rugby they will win, with a narrow margin, If the Boks can slow the game down and control possesion then they should win. The two best teams are playing in the final and either can win. Much respect to both teams and countries. This RWC has been a great showcase of rugby. Either way Southern hemisphere Rugby wins, But, as a kiwi, "GO the ALL BLACKS" Kia Kaha!!! 🙂

People talk about SA's bomb squad, but NZ have routinely played with 5 outside backs, making them very strong in air & on the outside. Not much (thus far) in the way of NZ's midfield trying to break through the line, instead it's kicks (kick passes and chips over the line) and trying to get to the outside. Jordie, Beauden and Richie all pretty comfortable covering the back field. It might be the day for the Bok midfield to shine.

Yes - its going to be an interesting game from a tactical or strategic standpoint. I think you're right though. And that the game could go either way. But with the likelihood of the game becoming more suitable to the way the All Blacks will want to play it as it progresses. At a frantic pace. And run via the space everywhere. But especially out wide. Plus the All Blacks being far better in the wet rainy conditions playing the game. Especially if employing a running game. Of which they are most likely. However, the Bokke will bring their best game of the tournament for them yet and stay in the hunt I feel up until the last 10 only. Why. Because the frantic paced running game employed by the All Blacks from first whistle shall have run their forwards ragged. And kept the All Blacks way out in front anyway on the scoreboard. Seeing a dominant performance from out wide and in the air via the space everywhere. Bokke will be in it though till then. They will score highly too. Nevertheless, they shall still be beaten by the All Blacks comfortably. I'd say to be taken by about 10-15. Say with a score of about 39-26 to the All Blacks.🙂🙏🙌👌✌️👍✊️👍✌️👌🙌🙏

@@keza41 yea - fair comment. But I bet they'll try their hardest to keep up as much as possible with the All Blacks who will keep the scoreboard ticking over in order to dominate there consistently. So yea just at a wild guess. Maybe. I suspect. It could end up around that high in score for both sides. But you might be right. It may end up much less for Bokke. Plus that could be the same for either team the All Blacks perhaps only managing 20-25 points. Either way though I do believe the All Blacks will beat Bokke comfortably. By at least 15.🙂

@@kaeamatiaha4651 No chance, underestimate at your peril. Too much credit to a team that got hammered last time they met. Never, ever write a Bok team off in a playoff match. Put some money on a 10+ victory for the AB's and see where that gets you. You're not playing Argentina (with respect) or Italy my friend, this is a different proposition completely. Rain forecast from today and every day till Sunday, I don't see high scores happening. This will probably be a low scoring battle. A trench war with a lot of kicking from both teams

@@glen1482 lol. Me - underestimate? I think its more you doing the underestimating! Both teams are much more capable of so much more. Plus you discount the improvements of Bokke since 2019. The tough run for Bokke to get to the final. Plus the Abs peaking at just the right time. So any game before this one is irrelevant my friend. I'd say I'm much closer to accurate on outcomes of the final. Whilst both teams you fully underestimate! Lol!

The ABs are better in most departments except maybe the pack where it is 50-50, the ABs total rugby style will be too much for the Boks, interchanging positions , forwards as backs and vice versa. All this versus a dog tired (emotionally and physically) Boks, they won't be able to lift themselves for a 3rd time against a rampaging ABs.
