Don't do it. Go compete against other 12s in real competition. I guarantee your L7 won't stand a chance. That cone area stuff is a gimmick. I've seen a 15 hdc3 destroy a 15L7 on the meter. I've ran the 12 L7 and it didn't sound any bigger or louder than a normal 12.

@@M.B.Enclosures Did yours get warm/stinky when you first broke them in? I heard the silverado I did last time with the 4 soundqubed 8s, heard it side by side with the f150 with 4 Q L7 8s, the silverado is actually louder, the L7s get a lil warm and stinky and I used an oscope to tune everything, they still feel really stiff so they may just need to break in. The amp is a kicker kx2400 and I gave the gain set quite a bit lower than clipping and the head unit is not clipping either, also used oscope to find point of distortion on the head unit. Box is on the smaller side only about 2 cubes net but that was the biggest I could fit under the seat without it sticking out past the seat. I used a 4 inch aeroport as well. How long did the L7s take to break in?

@@cjon24s69 that box a little to small.... should have used a big seat lift. Minimum is .66 per so they all needed to share a box at least 2.5 net... they take about a 2 week or so depending how much you pay them

@@M.B.Enclosures They havent been played much maybe 20-30 mins max since theyve been installed, they definitely still feel stiff. He has execution audio 1/0 ofc wire but it is a few years old so Im going to rewire it today with sky high 1/0 ofc and make sure all connections are 100% clean.

idk... i have an l7 q class. i used two have two 10s comp r and they sucked compared to this l7 q. But im sure the l7 q 8s are amazing like this guy said. they might punch harder but i dont think they will go as low but honestly who knows til you try it

Naw man they sucked , I bought them and blew them in 5 mins and took them back and blew them again in 5 mins so when I went back to replace them the guy asked what amp I had them on and I told him a old school High Performance Bass Thrust AutoTexk 600 .2 and he said pay the difference and get the HX2 12’s and you won’t have that problem, he was right I had them for twenty years till recently that blew because I didn’t know the surrounds rip because they in a down fire box

@@beerman9807 kickers comp series? If so yeah they do but anything comp rs and higher is decent. Any of their older higher tier subs last forever also.

As far as SPL I’m going to say definitely, as far as SQ I would give the edge to the JL. But the JL, Morel, and a few other strictly SQ companies are the only subs that possibly have the edge in SQ…possibly. Depends on box
