Instead of people being mad when a superhero reveals their secret identity you should have characters thank them for keeping them safe by keeping their identity a secret

I mean, this one is on superman. She was only acting that way cuz she inhaled some powerful psychotropics that superman just let be dispersed through the air in his fortress. She didn't even do anything stupid like knock over some chemicals, just breathed. The fortress of solitude is definitely not osha compliant

Absolutely loved that one issue w/ Bar-El and Lilo. The hilarious smug and condescending facial expressions and them totally upending and disregarding the touchstones of superman lore from replacing the statues of his parents to criticizing him on Kandor. Brilliantly well-rounded characters

The comic goes into that. Clark goes on interview lex in prison and his mere presence supercharges parasite and he trashes the prison. Clark causes a minor earthquake to bury him in the earth without giving him a chance to absorb more.

This sounds like people threw out (or possibly threw up) dozens of ideas in a story conference, and when t came time to deicde which one to go with they said 'Yes'. This is a modge podge of a dozen different story threads, without any effort or time given to exploring them. It's like they make up fpr not having a clue how to develop the ideas by going 'Hey look, shiny new thing!' every time.

You clearly never read the mini series. Grant Morrison put out 12 monthy issues, as superman lives his last 12 months. Each issue deals with a different aspect of coming to grips with death, all whilst putting superman thru his own version of hercule's "twelve legendary labors". Morrison added the quirkiness of the silver age to the somber tones of the contemporary age. All of THIS culminating in the final labor.....superman redeems an irredeemable man, lex luthor, simply by allowing luthor to see the world thru his eyes, the way he sees it. Empathy and compassion. Not a punch thrown, but the battle is won. Whats more "superman" rhan that? And in the end, you're left with a lesson about the brevity of life in lois lane. As she knows she blew what little time she had with him when he was alive. With him gone, she has created an imaginary scenario in which he is up there "fixing the sun" and will come back to her... All because that fiction in her mind is easier for her to live with than having to cope with the fact that he is gone.

Superman dying from solar radiation is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard of. When in countless other stories/universes he’s flown and stayed in the heart of the sun. Superman’s only weakness should be kryptonite. And he should be semi vulnerable to magic. Period. That’s it. So tired of all the liberation writers have been given to constantly shaft characters like Superman, Spider-Man, iron man, and other characters. Being allowed to willfully neglect their past stories, allowing them to be defeated by bullshit, having their lives fall apart (in Spider-Man’s case) time and time again. Idk how many other comic fans are tired of this. But I certainly am. Characters need one writer or team of writers assigned them for the course of several years rather than single runs. Tired of one run spacing apart from another literally one year apart with entirely contradicting stories.

Its an" Elseworld" story. A lot is familiar but three are always differences. Superman having to be careful how much solar radiation he gets at one time is one such, as opposed to the universe where Superman Million takes a solar bath for 1500 (was it 15,0000) is happens, is just comics. Or did you -ignore- forget the DC universe happily plays with countless universes on a whim?

You didn't mention one very important part. That Lex, while having Superman powers, understood how the universe works and that we are all connected. After that he understood that he was wrong this whole time to battle Superman instead of doing good things and improving people lives.

Fun Fact: In real life our sun is White. At sunset the sun is at angle where it has to go through more of the atmosphere reducing it to yellow and at times red.

If I had the chance to make a sequel of this movie, 🤔 It would start off with the "Legion of Superheroes" running from a big threat in the future traveling to the Past for help, It then cuts to a scene where "Jonathan Kent" the man of Steel's son around age 18. He's nailing in shingles on top of the barn was his grandfather, accidentally falling off the roof shouting for his grandfather. Right before he hits a pile of scrap metal he stops falling and starts hovering all about it. Gets told his dad as Superman, future Heroes get him bring him to the future and then he's taught how to fight to help win against the villain. He tries his hardest with all his great powers but still can't defeat him And then "boom!!!" Superman 1 million comes rushing faster than the speed of light... Shattering the Jawbone of that villain 🔥I really think it should be a "combo villain"🔥 1. Brainiac-Doomsday OR 2. Doomsday virus Darkseid And close to the end the sun meets his father, and a golden rose is handed to him by his father for him to bring back to his lonely mother Having it bring tears to her eyes.... Then a end credit starts playing: An outer space view of the shattered Krypton, Having the golden Superman worping time and space to bring back Krypton, changing the star to a Yellow Sun for his people And in a love locket of Louis Lane that he kept intact with his stronger powers, He grabs a lock of Lois's hair that was inside it Resurrection from the dead, cell by cell transforming her into a silver version of his powers😎

Seems like this movie was far closer to the comic-style Superman than previous animated versions: completely off-the-wall bonkers and undiluted "it doesn't have to make sense, it's Superman" in its purest form, if that's your thing. Certainly isn't mine; give me a Superman that follows at least some degree of verisimilitude.

I hated Superman's answer to the Sphinx's question. "They give up" *puts on nerd glasses* uhmm ackshually, for something to "give up", that something must have tried first. And if that something tried, then it must have gotten a result. A result that was not satisfactory but a result nonetheless.

This vid makes the story sound like a Columbian soap opera. God awful and inane. Others commented that the 12-issue version provides more meaning to the story. I felt that way with Watchmen and V for Vendetta. Crashing into a blue star to make it yellow??! That's like when Clark used his superbreath to blow out a star about to go supernova. Or used his super-ventriloquism ability to do something I can't even remember.
