That fender grip was one of the improvements they added to the 02 model update; if my L3902 didn't come with them I would have definitely added them on. One of the best "quality-of-life" upgrades for a tractor.

My LX2610 came with both installed...I cannot imagine not having it. Though I never get on and off the tractor on that side, it is great to have a safe place to steady myself whenever it might be needed. It's my first tractor...in my fourth year now with it and just over 400 hrs...I love it and it's been indispensable with our land development. At 64 it does the things I no long can and things I never could. Be well.

I know exactly what you mean. I got my tractor 6 years ago and it just passed 800 hours and I got it mainly to do stuff I never could do, but I turn 64 in a couple of months and more and more I’ve been using it to do stuff I can no longer do. Thanks for watching!

I am the same as everyone else here, L2501 and it did not come with the right handle, just two small round pieces of orange tape over the holes. I love Messicks and they make helpful videos, it was because of that I ordered the part through them when I purchased mine, however their shipping for single items is very over-the-top and needs to be adjusted. I ended up using washers and nylon lock nuts for mine and it is holding on great for years now! This is a 100% must-add item to all of our Kubotas as it makes operating them much easier and more secure.
@DIYMyWay
@DIYMyWay 5 ай бұрын
I’m surprised to hear from you and others that Kubota uses bits of orange tape to cover the holes now instead of the plastic plugs like mine. That’s being too cheap! Nylock nuts are a great idea. I like to use them if I have them on hand but the Loc-Tite should do the job. Thanks for watching!

That my friend, is a great idea, especially on uneven terrain. Unfortunately we DO have to do things sideways on the rolling hills too, like you've said and that added security is important. Especially as we all get a little older. We no longer have the reflexes we were blessed with in our 30's,do we. Another good informative video Martin.

(It had orange tape over the holes) When I bought my L4060 LE in 2022, it came with just the right side. I ordered the right side for it also. Had to have it. It also had orange tape over the holes. Happy New Year Martin! I could not agree more with you on this add on. In fact, it was the first "mod" I did to my L3901 when I bought it new several years ago. My old L2250 had handles on both fenders, and I used them so often I took them for granted. I was very surprised our friends at Kubota would not include both handles on these newer machines. I ordered through my dealer (not cheap either) and glad I added it to my machine. Worth the investment IMO and super easy install as you demonstrated. Be well!

Thanks Terry! I expected the nuts to have saw teeth cut in the flange face but was surprised they were flat. The left side didn’t appear to have lock washers either. I could probably have scrounged up a couple of lock washers in the shop but I figured Loc-Tite should do the job and ensure they don’t come loose. My background is in electrical engineering and IT, but it was just a bit of common sense from years of DIY to use Loc-Tite or lock washers. Thanks for watching!
