This comeback was overall just super clever. Wasn't sure if you noticed but the title isn't just referring to the innocent children's game 'Tag', it's also about the tag feature on most social media platforms (You can even see the tag feature they use on Insta @ 2:28). Actually the whole song is a reference to social media they talk about timelines and they even make a hashtag in the choreo @ 3:08, and if you read the lyrics accompanied by the creepy MV things get pretty strange. The lyrics seem to be about a person that is obsessed with someone so they stalk them through social media which eventually turns into real life.. Some of the lyrics are "Show me babe, deeper into your timeline (right now)", "What’re you doing tomorrow? I wanna be with you every day (Creep Creep) If I say it like a joke, will you figure out the hidden message?", "All night, your feed calls out to me Tag-Tag-Tag-Tag Feels like I’m taking one more step to you Tag-Tag-Tag-Tag.", "Tag, you’re it". Maybe i'm looking to deep into this but the creepy Mv reinforces this theory because why the fuck would they make a song about love accompanied by an Mv like this

copy-pasting my comment from another reaction XD I thought the MV was GENIUS in the way it played on our expectations and subtly started bringing in the sense of unease. It subverts each assumption one by one: creepy abandoned house! Oh, but they're just playing tag. Wait, that's hide and seek not tag-- ohhh, they have to take a picture and 'tag' the person they find. That voyeuristic shot Yeonho turning on the old tv is a little creepy, but there's perfectly normal shots afterwards. Why is he BLINDFOLDED--oh, it's just blind-man's bluff. They keep offering rational expectations, so when the bare feet started to creep into the 'blindfolded' camera view I was like "that's a bit weird" but that was it. Then everyone is gone...and the 'tag you're it' is suddenly ominous...and when Minchan goes to take a picture of Kangmin standing eerily in a dark hallway the phone detects another 'face' (do you want to tag this person?) in the darkness behind him. Then while you're still going WTF they let it off the reins completely, creepy mirror-duplicate Hoyoung, empty shoes casting human shadows, Kangmin walking down the hall while ANOTHER Kangmin hides behind a door. And THEN, when the song is 'over' they bring the creep into THE DANCE SCENE. Dance sequences are usually quite separate from an MV story, and in Tag3 some of the dance scenes are on set but the rest are on a big blank lit stage that we've been trained to see as 'this doesn't match the MV but that's okay, it's just the dance scenes'...so when the creepy (?imposter? ?posessed?) barefoot Kangmin is in there too it is even more unsettling.

I know that one of the common theories is that Kangmin started with them, but was spirited away and is now trapped in the house (hence the empty shoes with the human shadow and barefoot Kangmin). It's fun to watch this MV because you notice new things every time that are warning you about things about to get creepy.

it's interesting how you mention the light creeping up over time since red is a huge thing this comeback and the only other song on the album is called Mystery Light. and it's pretty much confirmed they'll be continuing with this concept because in their recent dance choreo one of the hashtags is "to be continued." jellyfish loves their spooky concepts

And here I thought PD didn't like VeriVery since they didn't react to Ringx3 & From Now. im so late but i have a THEORY and it's 4 am so this might sound freaking crazy but let's hit it anyways: first i'll make a list of ... all of the creepy shit we see here OOF ( ill try and go in order) 1. they went into a haunted house idiotsaashga 2. hoyoung (blonde) locks himself in the bathroom - but the mv doesn't always happen in order so remember that 3. yeonho (dirty blonde) finds a tv and sees that someone/thing has been watching them since they arrived 4. minchan (tall one wearing double plaid and blind fold) sees members disappear + toes? 5. their closeups start to get shaky and blurry, almost like a horror documentary 6. minchan sees kangmin (green sweater) smiling at him in a secluded hallway in the house (but notice the house is a mess now with things thrown everywhere) and then he sees a pair of hands behind him. 7. dongheon sees himself tagged in a picture, photographer unknown 8. hoyoung mirror scene (shivers) 9. hands again 10. passing shadow 11. kangmin passes HIMSELF in the bathroom 13:00 12. kangmin's empty shoes, but his shadow 13. hoyoung selfie recognition 14. gyehyeon selfie recognition 15. kangmin sees toes from inside of the closet 16. minchan realizes they have the wrong kangmin 17. kangmin's blindfolded in the pool - trapped now, my theory/my timeline of events: 1. They go into an abandoned house to play hide and seek 2. kangmin goes into the closet to hide and sees someone's bare feet approaching him 2:05 , 2:08 , 2:10 , 4:57 3. Dongheon (the first seeker) finds "Kangmin" inside of the closet 2:12 2:22 - but it's not the real kangmin. My theory is that in actuality he finds kangmin's double, and real kangmin is STILL inside of the closet, stuck in a time loop/alternate universe/spirt realm where he's alone. [during dongheon's turn, hoyoung is caught in the mirror, but dongheon finds him in time and saves him 4:39] 4. trying to find everyone and figure things out, Real Kangmin roams the halls nad unknowingly goes past his double. 4:45 His double is hiding from Yongseung (light blue shirt) who is now the seeker 2:45 5. Thinking everyone has been found, ot6 + fake kangmin decide to play the game again, but a little bit different and in the attic. clapping blindfolded tag. minchan is the seeker. 6. people start dissappearing from around minchan, and he sees toes approach him from under his blindfold 7. this is when yeonho realizes they're being watched 3:04 8. minchan is stolen, just like kangmin and thrown into this spirit realm- which is why everyone around him disappears. he doesn't take notice of this, just figures everyone is good at hiding. 9. Playing to the rules of the game, he searches around with his phone camera, only to spot REAL kangmin, and the fake one behind him. Realizing it's been caught, the spirit releases minchan with the clap. 10. returning back from the spirit world, minchan finds everyone - or he THINKS he does, and the leave, but this is when he realizes they took the wrong kangmin. he's the only one who can tell because he's the only one who's been to the spirit world and back. 11. final shot, kangmin is blindfolded and alone, lost. There's also the other creepy scenes that work their way in around but i think i covered all of my theory haha. The ONLY person to not have something creepy happen to him is Yongseung, which could mean something or could not. I have a feeling it doesn't mean anything bc there's no real hints to it - but i could be wrong !! anyways stan verivery they're .. really great. p.s. pd you should do a listening party for them for SURE, their side tracks are pretty killer.

I really liked how you explained not just about this MV but also about how Korean horror movies are. They are the master In this field. And so does JELLYFISH ENT. and the fact that VERIVERY who wants to become CREATIVE idols doing such this. I can say they have a very bright future.

1. I never expected less than something weird from the Co. that has VIXX as their other boy group! 2. I don't know if it does but I found that in the 2nd 'creepy' half that the music sounded more airy (not really the right word but like the sound was further away or being recorded in too big of a space) which also lends to the creep factor!
