@@denisselopez69 I've never watched them, but all children on screen have been positively reinforced to be on camera. Children want to please they're parents, and when their parents communicate that they want them to be on camera, they will want to do that. They cannot be critical thinkers enough to understand. The children are all under the age of 18, so they cannot consent. The children's brains aren't developed enough to understand the implications that come with being on camera. Plus, the entire financial aspect. These parents are making money off these kids, and living an amazing life. What happens when these kids grow up and there's no money left from all of their hard work because their parents have been living a lavish, entertaining life on camera for years.

It's so messed up to keep a child from their education to help take care of her siblings. It's the parents' responsibility not a child. She may love it now but taking that socialization and education away and putting that responsibility on her may make her resent it later in life. Either hire a nanny or don't have so many kids if you can't care for them.

No, not usually. Actually it's more likely to see them become young parents themselves because it's "all they know" and it's comfortable to them. Chances are they will start a family before their time. And have less goals and not care about a career or schooling since it was instilled in them from a young age that those things weren't as important.
@Swagtronfrver

It’s not that they don’t care for them, everliegh probably has some kind of drawment to being like a nanny- your right. But the thing is- she doesn’t need to be in school that much a week- don’t get me wrong she needs to be educated but they have talked before about how they’ve been worried that someone will get in her head about her family’s life, past controversies, etc. etc. Adding on, the US school system doesn’t include much socialization in the **first place**, I don’t know if your from the US or have had the gross experience of a Christian school. In that video they talk about the school she goes too- and I think there could be some hidden reasons that aren’t even mentioned, period.

I find it so infuriating that the eldest daughter takes on a maternity role as soon as their mother decides to have more children. As an eldest daughter myself, I was doing things that I shouldn't have been doing as a child such as taking care of and attending to the needs of my youngest brother. In the most extreme cases, some of these girls have their childhood stripped away from them and resent their siblings for that same reason. I really do hope that this doesn't traumatize Everleigh in any way but I will not be surprised if she decides to remove herself from social media once she is old enough.

They didn't think about the workload before they got her pregnant? As the oldest daughter who became her mom's caregiver, this is going to create so much resentment within her. I think if they aren’t ready for another kid then they should use a condom or birth control. I know some religions don’t believe in that type of stuff, which is why they keep having kids. The husband should get vasectomy if they can’t handle more kids. It’s so sad that they want to pull the daughter out of school. I heard that both parents stay home. 😐 if you can’t handle having that many kids without the help of the oldest then you shouldn’t have more kids. Poor older daughter is gonna have to be basically a mom at a young age. It’s one thing if she’s helping because she wants to but another thing is because her parents are asking for help.

I’m sorry you experienced that. You didn’t deserve it. No child old should have to help raise other babies/toddlers/kids. These parents chose to have 3, soon 4 kids, it’s their responsibility. Finding a good school for your kids is a part of that. The school system, while flawed, was designed around providing childhood development, socialization & education. While there are benefits to homeschooling, it’s about what is in the best interest of each child. Some kids struggle with public school because of bullying, speed of curriculum, class sizes, not getting one-on-one w teacher, etc. But it isn’t to allow child labor. Sadly, I think the ‘Christian right’s idea of never using contraception means they have huge families & use their older children to raise the younger. It’s repulsive to use religion to contribute to hurting to a child’s development & childhood freedoms.

Taking Everleigh out of school for any reason other than internal struggles she’s experiencing is incredibly disappointing and hurtful to her development. She didn’t look happy at all when they posted the video telling her they were pregnant again. She’s probably so tired of being a 3rd parent, especially at 9 years old. School and dance are really the only places she goes and gets her away from her parenting duties and they want to take one of the two things she does away from her? Nah. I’m baffled that they’re legitimately considering it and thinking it’s a good idea. So incredibly selfish of them. Also they claim how pro-life they are. They’re not. They are pro birth. If they were pro-life, they’d try for adoption if they really need that many kids… not pop a new baby out every year just because you can. If they can’t handle having 3 kids at a young age, why are they always trying for more?? Ugh, those kids deserve so much better.
