Yes, cooler objects are red and hotter objects are blue. Think about heating up a piece of metal in a furnace, as it's temperature increases it first starts glowing red then orange then yellow and eventually white. Even hotter objects will glow blue. Hotter objects emit higher energy light. Blue light is the highest energy light and red light is the lowest energy.

and when your blue poker turns to dull black, then you know you're in trouble, because it's gone Ultra-violet hot. DEATH imminent,

Our Sun is about halfway through its lifetime. It is about 5 billion years old and is expected to live for about 10 billion years.

Basically the hotter the object the bluer it gets thats what happens to the fire in our gas stove the same thing with stars.

You can try ‘Three ways to destroy the universe’, ‘What if the Moon crashed into the Earth’, and ‘Neutron Stars’ by them, they’re very cool :)

Our star is about middle-aged. It has around 5 billion years left. And even before that, it will expand and engulf the planets nearest, including earth. It is estimated that it will expand to reach jupiter, and if you look at a scale size (ish) of the solar system, you'll see how big that is.

The sun is at about the middle of its life. It’s currently still turning its hydrogen into helium. It will live for about another four million years.

billion* not million. The sun is 4.603 billion years old. It's got around 5 billion years left.

Did you not know when things get really hot, they looks blue? Like if you’ve ever used a gas burner stove, the fire is blue because of how hot it is.

Black body radiation/ light's tendency to have a "temperature" when it comes to its wavelength and blue light is more energetic It also why green stars can't exist, the green light is overwhelmed by the red or blue light

Also, yes, the hotter a star is, the bluer it gets. That’s because color is bound to temperature when it comes to gas burning. Cold bodies emit waves more slowly, so the waves are further apart, about 700nm, which corresponds to the frequency of the color red. If it’s even cooler, it’s going to be infrared, so more than 700nm apart. If a body is very hot, it’ll emit waves very quickly because of how agitated the particles are. There will only be about 400nm between each wave, which corresponds to blue/purple, and if it’s even hotter, it can be ultraviolet light, which means even shorter distances. That’s the link between color and temperature (: (For anyone reading, I know I’m oversimplifying, but I can’t explain everything in a KZfaq comment.)

A telescope through your window wont be a good idea. You wont be able to see much, because of the light polution of cities. You need to go out to spots where the polution is as small as possible

I dont know if it great reaction material but there is a channel I'd suggest: "But Why?" as a great video explaining black body radiation (the reason blue stars are hotter) He also goes over topic like time dilation near black holes and other mind blowing concepts

Also if you do use a telescope I'd highly recommend that you make sure your away from light pollution from cities, the difference is indescribable (but that might be a dorky personal thing lol)

not be rude but I can tell you are victim of the us education system because you dont know fire changes color with heat. or rather light changes color with energy. red is the coldest type of fire. then orange then yellow then green the blue then purple and lastly white. thats the sequence from weakest to strongest light and also by that coldest to hottest flame.

sounds like you were a victim of that system because you weren't clever enough to hear that this kid has a BRITISH accent
