Maybe you should start a series like this where you give players context and background to different campaigns . Your knowledge is vast . And the map is huge with so many different stories you could introduce us too . You would be a literal dlc 😂

I've thought of doing that for playthroughs as a form of a guide to get started and how to play certain locations

I love how even after the west fell the only thing really keeping Celts alive on mainland Europe was the kingdom of Soisson which was actually a Kingdom founded by a Roman general, Soisson shielded the Celts in Brittany who at that point were a mix of Gauls and Celts from southern Britannia fleeing the Saxons

I really enjoy these. And yes, to answer your question at 2:03:10, when you 'loose' the arrow or fire the shot, a practiced shooter typically knows if the shot is going to land or not based on how well you held steady and how well you executed the shot. Someone who is unpracticed and doesn't know what it SHOULD feel like, won't be able to tell and will usually drop the weapon quickly to see if their shot landed. You don't typically aim for the brain as the head is a small target that can move quickly. You typically aim for the heart as there are many vital organs in that area and it's a larger target. A perfect shot in the heart will usually kill an animal instantly. But if you make a bad shot, you know it, and it usually leaves you with a gutwrenching feeling that you inflicted suffering on that animal. It's not a fun feeling. People that don't hunt often think people that do are barbarians. But the hunters I know care more about animals than any non-hunter I've ever met. Those are usually the same people that would put their life in harms way to save a dog from a flooding river and crazy things like that.

I'm glad i found this channel. Playing CK3 since it released on xbox and i'm having a blast. Didn't expected a history lesson on top of some nice tips. I already learned most of it, just trying to figure out in what pace you should do things. I think i created the Irish kingdom way too fast/early and keep getting destroyed by England as soon they rise.

You should play in the 867 start date to get a better feel for the game plus England is divided so you can take over the southern part of Wales if you want and work your way into England

Hey, since you said you like hearing this - I’ve been trying and failing to truly wrap my head around how to play this game since CK2 lol. Felt like I practically had to take a correspondence course on YT to finally get it but now I do, I freakin’ love the game, and your content was a gigantic help. Thanks!

the fact that you explain so well is top shelf already, but a history sesh too! honestly the realism and inclusion of real history is a huge appeal to me in these games. love the gameplay as well, its just only part of the recipe for keeping me interested as much as I am. Thnx Brudda

The history lesson at the beginning helps to build some immersion and allows to set for ourselves a goal to aim for. Often starting a campaign on CK I tend to just aimlessly do things :)

Just as a tip, you have micro control issues due to your use of 5 speed. You dont have the time to react during war when something pops up out of fog of war. Giving yourself a few seconds to react with the army is going to massively benefit your ability during war. Maybe use 3-4 speed instead?

Just wanted to give you some advice for owning a dog. start training them early, be patient and remember theyre bascially equivalent to a human baby. They make mistakes, they have "bad days" and they wont always understand what you want, thats where the frustration comes in. The biggest advice (and its almost impossible to follow) dont let the frustration get to you, it can be overwhelming but once you and the puppy "click" its a really amazing bond and experience. Source; have 2 corgis.

I enjoyed your video. And you can and should talk about your puppy adoption if that is what you feel like talking about. It is your stream. We are just along for the ride. 😁 If a handful of people leave because you are sharing some details about your life, then I would argue that they were not great for your channel in the first place. Personally, I enjoyed hearing about your uncertainties about adopting a puppy. A lot of your concerns mirror my own concerns when I was adopting my cat Lino.

Learning is strong yes, but I personally think diplomacy is better, Family hierarch gives access to befriend which allows you to always have the highest level council members (make them a friend and invite them) (Which means no negative events as their skills are above 15, also councillors who are your friends get a 20% productivity boost), stable realms (either via friendships or family members) stress reduction, a nice chunk of all stats as well. Of course it was even better before they capped the amount of stats you could gain from each friend. A lot of problems can be fixed by just making more friends. All this gets even better if you are tribal/clan.

Bruh I just played a game as Laconia where I formed Hellas and turned Hellenic with no head of faith and personally held 4 duchies... (Funnily enough, Maniotes seems to reference the people of Laconia that practiced Hellenism into the 9th century.) I looked at my realm priest, and they had 40k gold stocked up. Misers. Its more just rambling, but engagement good, right?

17:08 - I think the word you were looking for was "Foederatii" which was that caste of sorta-not-but-still-kinda-really-full-on-roman Warrior-Caste towards the end of the roman empire, like post East/West split, they stopped calling them "Auxilliaries" (Auxillius) and started calling them "Foederati" coming from the latin word "foedus" which essentially meant "Once foe, now we have a treaty". Another word for them is the "Socii". TL;DR - The word i think he's after is either (singular/ploural) Foederati/Foderatii or Soci/Socii PS. Ooooohkay, turns out if i had just waited like less than 60 seconds i'd realize a viewer in the stream told him the same thing i did, fuck me.

Love your content. In streams though, I suggest not replying to the negative comments. Not worth giving haters the spotlight. Haters love attention so when you call out their comment they love it, and will most likely do it again. But if you give them no attention they’re just wasting their time. Let them waste away their lives, not yours.
