It will have been a very small team that worked on this, doing this won't have stopped them working on whatever it is they're doing in the background. Naughty dog has like 400+ developer's so doing this is just filling the gap until their next big game, whether that's factions 2, tlou3 or a new ip who knows.

@@LB-Gaming- See thats what i've been saying as well. I actually heard something about them having new hires working on this remaster to in a sense get the a little familiar with the process if and when they get the opportunity to work on other projects.

I've been playing the first one since the Remastered edition since 2016 and I bought Pt. 1 again for my PS5. Each time I play and beat it I get floored. I've ran through Pt. 2 a couple of times now and I can only imagine how much they're gonna expand in that one. I think Pt. 2 is gonna leave you even more in awe than the 1st one once you play it through.

Imo part 2 doesn't exist to me. Naughty dog killed the story in part 2. Smh

I would have bought the upgrade just to play the story again but I was really excited about the lost levels. Unfortunately they were super lackluster imo. Beat all 3 in about half an hour and they weren't all that interesting. The rogue like mode is awesome though

I’ve played the game a lot, I’m not sure what else I’ll get out of the story but the survival mode looks awesome and seeing them add a new directors commentary with the writers and actors will be really cool to see, especially their insights into the making of the game.

We will definitely get a ps5 upgrade that allows for 8k definition and 60fps on fidelity modes not just performance tho.

The good thing is that Neil Druckman already addressed this exact concern. He said that he won’t let the show outpace the source material like what happened with Game of Thrones. Plus, with TLOU3 likely being the end of the story, I’m sure he’ll stick to his word. Also, Remember TLOU2 is going to cover both seasons 2 and 3 of the show. So they still have enough time.

The show and Craig Mazin were the worst possible things to happen to this game/story imo.

I have no desire to ever replay all of TLoU2, I would only replay particular chapters. But the rogue like mode could be great, especially if there are zones where you can setup conflicts between infected and humans, which was pretty limited in the main game.

Sure Naughty Dog put out quality like no other but that was before a large portion, if not the majority of their developers, left following the release / development of their previous 2 main titles. At this point in time I cant in good faith say I expect them to even release a game within the near future, or ever, given their worker reputation in the industry. Re-releasing Factions or Uncharted multiplayer as free to play with PS5 support would be a godsend.

The whole point of 2 was to be driven by mourning Joel. The plot was a revenge plot based on the characters (and our) love for the guy. It felt to me like a natural extension of the story in part 1. I hated that Joel died too! That's what made it work. The same as when Ned Stark died in GOT, that's what drove us the rest of the way through the story was our love for the deceased character.

Dude its more complex than that, joel had a reason to live at the ending of part1 and something to die for, ellie was always planned to be the main character not joel, that's why she's immune to the virus and so that's why joel's at the back of the cover image, i love joel but part3 is definitely going to happen cus just like joel and abby found a reason to live ellie hasn't found one yet, and like other comments, part 2 is intended to recreate the stages of grief, so many people got stuck in denial

I guess that's because TLOU (ps3) wasn't playable on the Ps4, and because there were still a massive amount of people who hadn't played TLOU yet. Part I got its second rerelease on a platform which was already capable of playing the first rerelease, and only a year later we are getting hit by yet another rerelease of a game that was already available (and even optimized to run) on Ps5. Leaving the HBO series aside, the release-timing is poor as well considering that by now a lot of Ps5 players that wanted to have it on Ps5 have already played the optimized Ps4 version, and those who still don't have a Ps5 have most likely already played the original version on Ps4. The Uncharted PS5 collection was a despicable cashgrab as well tho

Personally I think the current structure allows you to get more invested in Abby's side of the story, which I feel is the main purpose. I feel that jumping between Ellie and Abby would more easily keep people's main focus on Ellie, and that would detract from the morale of the whole story. I must admit when I first played the game, and the switch to Abby happened, at first I felt a bit exhausted playing her for such a long time but after finishing the game I totally get it now. The genius of this game is that it's (successfully) trying to make you uncomfortable - trying to make you feel unease and exhaustion - because that's what Ellie and Abby are feeling. No game has ever affected me like this emotionally. The game is really a test of the player's emotional capacity - when succeeding it makes you kinda love and hate it at the same time.

The game quite bluntly forces this on the player, and I get that for some it’s a bit hard to swallow.

@@Crashed131963 I get what your saying. Ghost of Tsushima had a free enchanted performance upgrade as mentioned in the lists, but still got a full blown PS5 port too. Some games they add the higher performance exclusively for PS5 because the hardware can allow it. But still not considered full blown PS5 versions. It’s weird how they handle this. There are plenty examples as shown, but not counted as PS5 versions until the definitive editions or otherwise announced.

@@MrGamer07100 I notice that. When I did the free Ps5 patch for my ps4 disc of Jedi Fallen Order I had to go to PS Store and get the free ps5 version of the game ,with the ps5 logo. When I updated my ps4 disc of Horizon Zero Dawn it just it was a simple 4k/60fps patch with no PS Store visit needed and it has no ps5 logo beside the game afterwards .

Neil Druckmann has no creativity that isn't built offthe backof someone else. The Last of Us had Bruce Straley, Uncharted 4 was Amy Hennig's concept and idea before Druckmann pushed her out of the company and oppressed her so he could support fake women, and TLOU2 was a mess of cliches and controvances.

Unless you want that scrapped realistic Jak project from 2010 then that IP should just be left alone.
