I was thinking a similar thing. I had a falling out with my parents where upon the issues were never resolved and no apologies forth coming. The years went by and while on the internet learned they were both deceased. No one in the family made an effort to notify me. Upon sending a contact letter to my brother and sister I was ignored and left with no information on the estate or where or how the property was divided. Many lies were spread around about me and that left me dumbfounded. It's been 7 years now . Talk about greed betrayal. and slander .I cannot call them family because they don't deserve that respect. It's CRAZY

@@teresaestevezalvarez664 I'll put it this way because I've heard comments like yours before. CHILDREN DO NOT OWE( in general ) THIER PARENTS ANYTHING. ITS THE OTHER WAY AROUND THE PARENTS OWE THEIR CHILDREN .. NOW IF I HAVE A SON OR DAUGHTER I WILL OWE THEM and rightly so. They will not owe me. When you understand that basic equation you discover that anything else is off the mark. Now with siblings I'll go with what the BOOK OF PROVERBS says SIBLINGS AS WE SOON DISCOVER PROVIDE TROUBLE THAT FOLLOW ONE ALL THEIR DAYS.

What a tear jerker of stories. These touch my heart, as I too was taken away from my Daddy at the age of 3 year's old. When I turned 18 , I went to meet my Daddy. It changed my life as well. I finally got closure and felt whole for the 1st time in my life. He was a great Dad. He passed away about 10 year's ago, and I miss him so much.

I have the feeling that if the dad is a waste of space his mum won't be. I did find it strange that she said "your daughter will come to you". As we can see, she couldn't without the help of a TV programme. How do people assume that kids will just find a way when they do nothing?

Damn tough actually . So many men I have known over the years suffered to the point of taking their own lives and twice I knew men who committed the worst sin possible; took their children's lives. @@Mercmad So men who just nick off and dump their parental responsibility onto women or who can't be bothered following up where their kids are, that has nothing to do with anything - its just all women's fault? Half of these men knew they had kids and just didn't pursue the matter - even decades after, when their kids are in their 20s and 30s and the mothers are not in the picture. They bear no responsibility? For anything? You're ridiculous. I often find that people who rave on about misandry are just trying to cover their misogyny in righteous robes.

My dad buggered off when i was 18 months old lived 20 minutes away from me all my life was a police officer and never bothered with me unless outside influences pressured him then it would fizzle out again. I asked him once why don't you want to see me more( he knew my home life was turbulent) his reply was "its your access to us....." then i didn't see him for years. He has the cheek at now 41 with 2 children with issues when he has seen me at family funerals to ask ME, where have you been why haven't you been to see us???? And his wife looks as though she had the right to be fuming with me. I've never asked them for anything, I've never other than existing caused them and disruption....... its jaw dropping they think they are the hurt parties or the wronged parties. I stay well clear they are deluded and toxic.

I real felt for children who became victims of relationship that did not last for some selfish reason. I wish this type of relationship did not result in producing issues that become victims. It is unfair for children to be separated for father or mother.

Not all stories about family reunions are happy ones, I had not seen my father since I was about 7, I did not know him, I chose to move town and try a new life with him and my young 4 yr old son, his grandson. After 6 months he sexually abused him and I had to leave the home or lose my child so I ended up homeless, taken in with my son by a dear couple for the weekend so that I could compose myself and get us a home. Some fathers are best left in the past.
