Don't be fooled. Look at her past Twitter posts from last year. She uses people of colour as tools to look woke and cool while putting down the death of a girl and treating her as less than because she's blonde blue eyes and white. And blocked anyone who politely called out how disrespectful she was being. She's a complete clown.

@@bessieburnet9816 I remember the tweet. Tweets/texts/non audio messages are always the worst because it can come across different depending on the person reading it. Grey’s main point was to bring up the fact that the media doesn’t cover the stories of women who are non-white that are also murdered as much as they do for white women. The tweet itself could have been written better, but the point is still valid. The media needs to be broadcasting all stories and not just highlighting one story over another. Comment number 7! Don’t worry, I’m still finding these comments 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@isaiahwelch8066 Something like this already exists. Corridor Digital's Son of a Dungeon has the players dressed up as their characters comped into a 3D render of their dwarven forge maps. Just remember the major caveat that these are professional VFX artists, not professional voice actors, so they're not going to be RPing as well as Crit Role or Dimension 20.

I've been around northern UK people who could "tone down" their accent when speaking with "north-american" accented people like me, but when I heard them conversing amongst themselves....might has well been gibberish. Between their true accent and the unfamiliar expressions and turns-of-phrase, no idea what they were talking about even though they were definitely speaking english.

@@kaaratze It happened a couple of times while they were watching the episodes. Particularly the moments when Keyleth is being a badass. You'll probably have to view it on twitch since on youtube they cut out the parts where they're actually watching the episodes.

My favorite thing about the Twins' fight scene is that you feel the emotion in it (from Vex's side, at least). These two know each other so well that every move was countered (but I legit got worried Vax would kill her), and then when the charm fades, you just hear the complete agony in Vex's voice as she's about to beat her brother into a pulp. But then she sees he's back, the complete relief they both feel is really beautiful.

I just love how Travis is always giving kudos to everyone else - the artists, the animators, the production team, the other actors, Mary Elizabeth... and he does it in like all the "making of" stuff. Give yourself some credit too, big guy! :D

Man, the best part of the watchparty hasn't even been included in the KZfaq upload. Matts emotional journey throughout the scene of Keyleth gaining control and defeating Sylas hit me right in the feels. The animation of the scene itself was amazingly well done, but watching Matt's emotions surface, after seeing Keyleth succeed in the most beautiful way possible was something else. Must be intense seeing all this come to life after having poured the last decade of one's love and life into this. Thanks so much for creating and sharing this world Matt! Or to quote Sam: "What a nice story."

Addition to BigMike Magnetic Hunter's comment: Sometimes a nat 1 gives you the chance for the most hilarity in character interactions. I once rolled a nat 1 on a stealth check, and it resulted in my character tumbling ass over teakettle down a hill to land basically at a hill giant's feet.

Maybe they thought that it would be awkward to just watch them react to nothing, as they can't show the episode on KZfaq (but personally, I don't mind because I've already seen the episodes by then and I can just play it on the side while they're watching if I need to see what they're reacting to).

Sam talking about how they ran back over the scenes and reworked the ADR and made it unique... I didn't recognize it fully, but of course I paid attention to the voice acting and it is excellent. I love seeing the passion of this project. I love how they, Critical Role, bring every creative voice forward as important, through these viewings.

One thing I'm sad didn't get asked of Grey: Did you get a sense of deja vu when you blasted a member of the air tribe in the back with your magical powers in front of their potential love interest? Again? (Yes I know Keyleth ends up with Vax, but Marisha has confirmed she had a little crush on both the twins. It's just for the sake of the joke.)

@@acm4bass The only one that off-hand I can't think if he does, is Sam. If they really wanted to get into it, they absolutely could. Just get Technician in there to tighten it up a bit with CodeMiko's help! Given what I've seen her do, magic and combat effects are totally feasible, if they're pre-baked well ahead of time, long as we're fully ready to embrace the jank. I think the only "problem" we saw there was inexperience, Grog was just having too much fun (and not enough ale)!

I gotta say... My dad and I have been watching Vox Machina, and my father, who comes from a ttrpg-less background is absolutely in love with the show, and it's been so much fun to watch it with him. I think he's finally understanding why I've sunk so many hours into playing ttrpgs and watching various dnd sessions on KZfaq, and Critical Role is to thank for all of that. So, thank you Critical Role for helping people who don't understand ttrpgs to connect with those that do. You guys are doing something very special for the lot of us.

(Amazon owns Twitch.) You only get one free month of a subscription to one Twitch channel every time you do it; if you want to continue, you have to remember to manually repeat the same process. I had a pretty dark simple backstory the character I played for my groups Descent Into Avernus campaign, & my DM did the exact same thing. Took my story & went like 4 steps darker, more creepy, & was just one crazy surprise after another taking me on an emotional rollercoaster. It turned into great storytelling, so I loved that portion of it, but playing through sucked so hard!

It takes a certain level of trust between the GM and the player(s) to make something like that work, but when it works, it WORKS. I've been GMing for like 30 years now, and I *always* ask my players, "Are you willing to trust me?" And suddenly what they thought was a throwaway thing from their backstory became SO much more, or a momentary decision at some point, and gave them moments to shine (and to interact with other players on multiple levels). But at the same time, I have to trust my players - if they can come up with something better than what I'd originally planned, I do my best to weave that in and reconcile it. And you can see that trust between Matt and the rest.

I joined a campaign part way though in August last year and I had this character concept in mind for ages so I was excited to play it. It was honestly very stereotypical (orphan, shitty manipulative and abusive keeper, broke free and lived on the streets to be taken off and away). My DM took that outline and made it into something that I never would’ve thought of having my character’s memory of specific things in her past being manipulated or being completely hidden and being shown as a personal domain of dread. My character did get her revenge but at a great cost. Always, if your group is great trust your fellow party members and DM because they are creating and experiencing this story with you

It's been a while sence I have played D&D , but this sunday will be the first session of my campaign . I wanted to thank you guys for inspiring me to resume one of my greatest passions again . You helped me remember the simple joy of just playing and losing track of time , I watched every episode several times , and went back and started watching your youtube games on campaign 1 vox machina to better familiarize myself . These episodes were some of the hardest, most gut-wrenching ones for me. I am a rape victim and Percy's struggles with his patron, the Entire time he was struggling in these episodes, it took me right back to that place when I was suffering from my own demons. Thank you from the bottom of my healing heart for not holding back on showing that. It showed me how far I've come and helped my boyfriend understand on a brand new level what hell I went through. Thank you all for being here and being such amazing people. Thank you to all of the artists and voice actors and everyone who was a part of this series ❤️
