Correction: the House of Lords doesn't have the power to force a general election after 5 years, instead parliament is automatically disolved. What you could talk about instead is how the House of Lords can hold debates which can raise the importance of issues not considered by the House of Commons and put them on the political agenda. The essay plans and notes on the website have been updated to reflect this.
