I just want to take a moment, Miss Lori, to reflect on this wonderful community you have built here. Your videos and recipes and thought-provoking messages are profound and endearing and lasting. But the other aspect of your work, is that along with your shows and the excitement and joy that you bring... you also bring together a wonderful community of good and honest and decent people. The comments are a testament to how you inspire people to care for each other, to reach out to each other, and to speak to each other. I just wanted to thank you this morning... and I want to thank all the people who make up this community. Thank you, all of you.

Hey Sophia, you might consult an Orthopedic doctor for your knees. While I had to get 1 knee replacement I get shots in the other side of lubricant it really helps with the bone on bone rubbing 👍. I had to have a discectomy also because I couldn't do a thing! They both worked out better than I had thought and am able too function. Like Miss Lori I have to be careful of the heavy lifting but can pick up a bag of soil YaY! I hope this helps 61yrs young JO JO IN VT 💞

@@sophiaspurlock2025 hi. I know on a KZfaq comment you'll get a lot of suggestions for what you can do. I hope you'll look into this science I want to share with you. Inflammation is the cause of most pain in our bodies. Inflammation is fed with carbs and sugar. A low carb diet including a healthy clean keto diet will almost eliminate inflammation in the body. This is scientific and I hope you will look into clean keto. Clean keto includes many cup of fresh veggies each day and no sugar with very few carbs. Dr. Berg is a good source. God bless you sister

Saying a prayer for U Mrs. Lori that GOD will heal UR aches & pains, as I ask Him each day for me, I'm 86+ bedridden but with sher determination & with my little half- walker that won't let me fall, I'm able to get to my kitchen! I can look out my double pane less windows & see my many colorful birds, they come to get a drink of clean water & take a bath too, so much happiness I can forget about pain for awhile 😢😊❤😅
@sarajohnson8346
@sarajohnson8346 Жыл бұрын
My son goes out & fills the bird bath at least 2-3 times a day, it's strange, I'm the only 1 on my Street that has always fed & gave my backyard birds food & clean water, going on 19 yrs now, the joy in watching their behavior in courting, feeding their young, helping the mother bird watch over the fledglings gives me happiness as well & lets me forget about pain? I did feed the squirrels too, but haven't been able! Put out moth balls to keep them out of my Adobe (storm shelter) built by Mexicans who rented this house at 1 time. They were not clean people & this home had to be remodeled completely at the cost of $150.000 plus 20.000 for a Sunroom added on because the afternoon sun 🌞 was so hot on my open patio! It has been well worth it though it is not finished on the inside! I can't find anyone that wants to work & finish it. The Co. that enclosed it doesn't finish them! Maybe my son will get his health under control & will finish it for me! I bought all furniture & carpet when I could find great bargains, saved me lots of money. I'm a frugal spender or I wouldn't have anything! Teachers & Librarians didn't make a lot of money in the early 70's.

Miss Lori, you are a plethora of information. I understand your pain. I am 72 and gardening is a real pain in the back, as well as a book of illnesses. As long as the Lord allows me to wake up, I am going to keep going. You might like to fill those beds with leaves and small branches and then lay in your dirt and bedding. I lay down cardboard, then layer with branches and leaves, the compost down beautifully. I wish you and your a lovely weekend.

I love your Greenhouse Miss Lori. It's such a warm, inviting, and comforting place! There's alot of Life there just waiting to grow! I used to have a garden area with different lil garden angels, butterflies, frogs, rainbows, sitting amongst my flowers and a lil bench seat where I would sit n look at my flowers in the sun! I had stepping stones placed throughout it. Since my husband passed and my health has gotten so bad, my special garden is no more. It makes me sad that I no longer have it. When I saw your greenhouse, it reminded me of my flower garden in some ways! I love flowers and gardening and I truly appreciate you sharing yours with me. We all need a special garden where life can grow and the Light of our Jesus shines down in the Beautiful flowers and on us! I Love my Lord Jesus and would sit and read his Word in my Garden! I can't wait to see more of your Flowers growing and Blooming in your garden and yard! Thank you Sister for sharing it all. I really enjoyed the story of the Sunflower! It's very Beautiful. Happy you're feeling better. Keeping you and Mr Brown in my prayers. GOD BLESS 🙏🙏❤❤

I know what your talking about Mrs. LORIE. I am 74 years old and because of severe arthritis in my legs mainly knees , because of all my health problems , I can hardly walk and the doctors won't do knee surgery on me. That being said I miss my gardening the most. OH how I wish every year I hadsomeone would bring me some squash, zucchini, green onions and bell peppers. I use to share my garden with the elderly in my community . They would wait on me to bring them some veggies. It made them so happy. It was sooo fulfilling to me in my heart to watch how their eyes would light up and get so excited. God gave me the strength to do thus until I couldn't anymore. I have had an aneurism stroke, heart attack, cancer twice now this crippling arthritis after all this just in January 3rd I hot out of the Hospital from having my second round of Covid 19 , Sepsis, complications from COPD and congestive heart failure. Hard to come back from this but me and my Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST talk every single day. The doctor spent 2 nights and days with me in the Hospital because they thought I wasn't going to make it. They said as I was leaving the hospital that I shouldn't have. I told them that me and THAT MAN UPSTAIRS KNOW SOMETHING we talk everyday. They agreed it had to be him. So BY THE PRECIOUS GRACE OF GOD GO I. 🙏🏼🙏🏼. Don't give up Mrs. Lori until God tells you it's time. You and him will know. Love you and Mr. Brown and y'alls channel been watching for a long time now. ❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Miss Lori, Sophia Spurlock and all of you who have been hard workers your entire lives, growing older and feeling it's affects--press on. I'm there. Going on 67, my body is wearing out from working harder than some men. The arthritis is all over, fibromyalgia, pace maker...The body pain is constant. But! That inner child, my very soul is ageless. It keeps me wanting to press on. Plant that garden, tend those chickens, try one of Miss Lori's recipes, bake that bread, pie or cookies! Can those tomatoes! We find ways to make things easier on our aging bodies any way we can! We aren't quitters, or poor me babies, we're can do gals who improvise! God bless each and everyone of you as you press on. Miss Lori, those are very nice raised beds! I'm happy for you! And, I've grown sunflowers for decades. I've watched them turn to face the sun, I've watched them turn to face each other in storms and I've marveled at all God's creations. Thank you for just being you Miss Lori. I needed to take a break so I checked in on you. I was wondering about your greenhouse so glad to hear what you have learned through experience. I'm using my lanai as a greenhouse since it has glass panels that slide over to screens to control the temperature. So far it's working well. Florida's climate is quite different but I can still learn. The old folks used to tell me to process enough food for two years in case of those bad seasons. Hopefully you will be blessed with abundance this coming season. That smart little piglet would probably make a great breeder and hope she finds a good home.

Love your gardening videos. I am always learning. I grew up on a farm with canning and raising animals. But I’m still learning from you. Keep the videos coming. God bless

Hello! We all have that seed sickness!, Loved seeing all the seeds. 2 years ago I grew the Mexican sunflower. I believe it is technically a different genus that sunflower. It is a massive very hardy plant. It has come back and multiplied for me. I transplanted them to different parts of my yard. I have planted a bunch of new varieties of sunflowers this year. So excited to see all their happy faces again!

Your seed stash, your fabric stash, your yarn stash...all a part of preparing for uncertain times. Plus, your winter reading stack of books 😉. I don't understand those who make a list of what they figure they will need until the next gardening season and only put up that much. You can't depend on the weather to be beautiful and your plants to produce well. But, your pantry is well stocked for bad times and good. Take care of yourself, Miss Lori. Retirement is coming!!

Miss Lori, I have grown Mexican Sunflower and loved them! Mine grew very tall (taller than I am at 5 feet), and they were covered with Monarch butterflies in the month of August well into September before they migrated. They are a real treat to behold!

Wow thank you so much for that lesson LESSON OF THE SUNFLOWER. it is so awesome. Thank you for sharing the word of God your a minister of Gods love and helping us with planting. Gods many blessings to you and your hubby and your family. I can’t wait to hear your hubby talk about potatoes I live in NM and grew some for my first time last year I did get a few and I was so excited it was like digging for Gold. Every time I found a potato I was saying thank you Jesus so my neighbor next door to me is a cousin and I’m sure she was wounding what is she doing but I enjoyed it so much I can’t wait to hear what your hubby has to say with his experience of growing potatoes 🥔. You are a blessing to me and I love when you talk about the Lord it is so uplifting and it feeds my soul so thank you so much 🙏🏼☺️🌹

Good afternoon Ms.Lori, I just needed to watch this beautiful video you took the time to make for all of us , Your calming voice , sharing all your amazing seeds, such a stunning green house and even watching the piggies- most of all The beautiful story about the Sunflower 🌻 just touches my heart , Like you and Mr.Brown do . I had to have emergency spinal fusion last October 17, 2022 , then ended up with SEPSIS which I survived . But our Garden couldn't be cleaned up etc. Oh my was I delighted to see so many beautiful volunteers of sunflowers some at least 11-14 feet tall . I know in my heart they came up for me , as Im now waking still with a walker , it is extremely depressing for us women to feel our body not able to do what we truly want to do . My husband bought me a rolling walker with a seat so I can get around a tad better but I will only be 58yrs old this coming September and never thought Id need help from others as I have always been the care taker . It emotionally hurts . Thank you for so many beautiful videos , I can watch as we turned our cable off to save over $175 a month almost 8 years ago . Im doing my best to plant what I can this year . After that Grain moth issue a couple weeks back , We have been trying to repurchase more flour, rice and sugar and put up in food saver then 5 gallon buckets. God bless you ms.lori & Mr.Brown you both bring such joy to millions of people . Mrs josette Tharp Montgomery County, Texas 🙏

Please take good care of your back. I'm like you. I've worked hard most of my life. Now I have several bulging discs, compacted discs, impinged nerves My legs don't want to work. It's so painful and depressing. I certainly can't do very much anymore. I'm on a walker. I pray that your back doesn't get any worse. Please use great caution. God bless you all and your family. You are a blessing to me and many others. I'm so thankful for your KZfaq channel. I enjoy it so much. ❤💙🙏🙏 I love your garden videos. Wonderful! You are talented beyond me.
