Thank you for this most beautiful summary of the life of Thomas Merton about whom I just heard from my friend Hitendra Wadhwa's interview yesterday with Rev Philip A Jackson in whose life Thomas had as powerful a obvious Influence as the Dalai Lama is said here to have acknowledged!! I have had a whistle stop birdseye view of his life through this and I feel vindicated and uplifted and am immensely grateful to you for your having put it together with such devotion - and cannot help wonder at the degree of deftness and understanding with which it was done for you have captured both the man and his Spirit - showing thereby the duality - of the mortal drama - that Spirit enjoys through a man - simultaneously humbling and edifying him - in the Cosmic Drama-Dream of God!! Hats off to you!! This is a moving piece of work in its own right for Understanding Eyes and Hearts - for Christ is said to have said With all Thy Getting Get Understanding!!
