i own a water villa unit at the light collection 1. the bad thing of the water villa is there is too much heat trapped inside the unit like a greenhouse, especially during the hot weather in the dry season. this is because of too much glass installed especially at the staircase column and also the rooftop garden. that's why i have spent so much money on tinting there! of course, maintenance is a huge headache like the air conditioners because of the water vapour evaporated from the surrounding pond containing seawater for the marine animals like sting rays. fyi, some owners including my one have their basement carpark renovated to make it more spacious for the cars to park.

So it is a typical problem like living by the beach front/ocean from the salty breeze/air. It causes the corrosion breaking down and high maintenance for any appliances and machinery where powered the house, including parked cars.

Seriously compared with my country Singapore Penang properties are even more better and luxury than Singapore. Some of my stupid friends said Malaysia properties are rotten metals but they all are sour grapes.

Yeah there are pro and cons for both countries. But here in Malaysia, sometimes the properties look astounding but long term maintenance may be a headache. There are many developments here do half pass six job sadly. 🙂

⁠@@samkampenangrealtorSo far most condo developments I see in Malaysia the maintenance looks fine (Penang, KL), there’s also so much more latitude for landed owners to express their creativity in terms of bold and cutting edge architecture, it’s only those China-developer built Forest City, Country Garden projects that look like very very rundown.
