I saw this in theaters 29 years ago when I was 16! The intro and this song always gets me. I obviously don't understand the African lyrics, but it sounds so beautiful, that you can't help but get them onion eyes! 😭😭😂😂

This is a song that always gives me goosebumps too. I love seeing the broadway cast, breaking into song in airports and on transport in a flash mob style. I would love to be present during one of those! It’s a beautifully powerful song.

I saw you tear up!! Me too the first time I saw this video. The Lion King on broadway is a must in NYC. I’m 32 and saw it this past summer and let me tell you…..I teared up. My favorite movie of all time.

OMG! I was smiling big and crying (onion eyes) right with you Jai! The Lion King is my all time favorite Disney movie and I always have to listen to the intro song a few times before I continue to watch the movie. The movie version gave me chills this version just took me to such a beautiful place with chills to the moon and back! Oh my I can only imagine seeing this live! That comment was right, it needs to be the theme song of the world! Music that can make you feel it in your soul is truly universal! Simply beautiful! ❤️🥹 ❤️
