She seems like an amazing person with a great big heart. Her parents seem like amazing people as well.

Thank you madam for sharing that experience of yours during the Japanese Occupation. There aren't many left to share this with the younger generation today. I hope many will view this and learn something especially how their forefathers have lived through the period that was filled with uncertainty.

Don't forget them but forgive them. Never forget your history and never forget those who sacrificed their lives for us during the Second World War.

When you stand before God, you cannot say, "But I was told by others to do thus." Or that, "Virtue was not convenient at the time." This will not suffice. Remember that. - King Baldwin IV (Kingdom of Heaven)

Because the Korean and Chinese even the Singapore Chinese suffered more the other Asian Country. Japanese slaughter 50000 Singaporean chinese at that time, so if this is an interview of victim of chinese, their attitude will be totally different.

@@user-xh7bd9ki7m you must also understand that 150,000 Tamils from Singapore, Malaysia and Burma also died in the War, as soldiers, as POWs and as forced labourers under the Japs. WWII was incredibly damaging to all communities, so one must be aware of it before drawing simple conclusions.

Fun fact: the japanese government has never officially recognised most of the crimes they've commited. And yes that includes the crimes like sook ching that happened in singapore. Not to mention that they have a shrine (Yasukuni) that houses all the class A - C *convicted* war criminals in the shrine where every year japanese ministers visits the shrine to pay their respects to the war criminals. Oh and some of them were even proud of the invasions and the massacres.
