That's interesting, it's quite tricky to make a hybrid in BeamNG, especially with absolutely no modern documentaries for that. Good job on making this video as well as making a lot of effort trying to make this system that's faster than every single prius on the road right now.

Now I finally understand how that other guy did this hybrid system, it's a really creative solution! It's probably super tricky to reduce the vibrations, it all comes down to the weights of the fake wheels, they are like a flywheel. You need them to be as light as possible to have little momentum because that generates less centrifugal force which destabilizes the car. But you can't get too light because in this game if you lower the weight you need to reduce stiffness or else it becomes unstable, and with lower stiffness of the 'spokes' the wheels will stretch more which brings the centrifugal force back up... It's a really fine balance, and on top of that you have to avoid reaching a natural oscilation frequency of whatever the wheels are attached to because the wheels vibration will multiply the vibration of the body, which I think was what happened in the first test in the video.

That's a very interesting hybrid system, quite different from I've seen so far but also what I've been trying also, mine's uses the old powertrain layout and kinda works confusingly but works (for now), but I think with this, who knows if it's possible, there could be a possibility of adding 3 power sources (one combustion and two electric).. but still, very interesting and how tricky it ended being on your part, very cool and a lot of effort!

How did I not find this video until now? This is awesome! Sorry about the body being super weird and somewhat hard to work with, still a bit of a blender amateur. I remember trying to optimize the poly count when making the body by too much so it looks really weird in certain areas. (The poly count before the optimizations was alright before too idk what I was thinking) Not to mention the chassis poking out of the body, there was nothing I could do if memory serves right. Anyway, awesome job on the hybrid system! I wish I had this kinda knowledge for beam
