The all-new, 10-episode second installment of THE X-FILES is executive-produced by creator Chris Carter, with stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson returning in their roles as iconic FBI Agents FOX MULDER and DANA SCULLY. Mitch Pileggi also returns as FBI Asst. Director WALTER SKINNER. Additionally, the all-new episodes will feature guest-star appearances by Annabeth Gish, Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose, Karin Konoval, Barbara Hershey, Haley Joel Osment and William B. Davis, who reprises his role as “Cigarette Smoking Man.” Along with Carter, series veteran Glen Morgan serves as an executive producer.
In 2016, THE X-FILES drew an average Multi-Platform audience of nearly 16 million viewers and was last season’s No. 2 broadcast drama. It also was the season’s most talked-about event series on Twitter.
THE X-FILES originally premiered in September 1993. Over the course of its nine-season run, the influential series went from breakout sci-fi favorite to massive global hit, and became one of the most successful television dramas of all time. The show, which earned 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award, follows FBI special agents Scully and Mulder, as they investigate unexplained cases - “X-Files” - for which the only answers involve paranormal phenomena.
Produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Ten Thirteen Productions, THE X-FILES is created and executive-produced by Chris Carter.

With all these years of X-Files, the most unforgivable mistake was killing the Lone Gunmen. I really hope they are alive somewhere, in hiding to investigate the Super Soldiers.

Being a Brazilian X-Files fan since the end of the 90's I have to say no matter in what situation Mulder and Scully are is the best feeling ever and trying to bring one or the 3 guys from The Lone Gunmen is like you makes us feel like happy teenagers watching the new X-Files all over again ,those who are truly fans knows what I'm talking about , So thank you so much for bring us the best feelings of our lives .

A lot of people were unhappy with the jump the shark episode but in my opinion I thought it was a beautiful episode I thought it was amazing to have them go out saving others and I still love it I don't care what anyone else says. They were definitely my favorite characters on the show other than Mulder and Scully.

Well, IF you've listened to the last X-Files audio book, then you'd know that the Lone Gunman are indeed alive in that version of the X-Files! I'm interested to find out IF the TV version will follow the audio book, as their revival in that version seemed quite plausible to me, but having meet all the Lone Gunman at a convention in London once, I'm biased lol, long may the X-Files reign.:)

Cool bananas!!! The X-Files deserves another very good spin-off with Mulder and Scully appearing on the first episode. But the two new main characters must be unknown actors which is very good looking and extremely talented😊

I was an Xphile in the 90's: The second movie, which came out AFTER the tv show ended, should not have happen. I'm having tough time calling it "season 10" and "season 11".

I always thought the Lone Gunmen were never really killed and buried, and that the burial was staged to keep their activities secret so the FBI could hire them to hack for them. They could explain that episode, because we never saw a death scene.
