​@@ThunderfireMac Easterlings are the most defensive (in my opinion) Evil human army, they're an average model count army and benefit greatly from their pikes which have the ability to carry a shield at the same time as their pikes. Easterlings also have a decent cavalry option in their Kataphracts which are mounted on armored horses and I think have they shieldwall special rule while mounted. Overall the Easterlings have great defensive options but do not have much hitting power with the only exception being their heros. Another thing to note is that they have a Ringwraith in the form of Kamul the Easterling who has the option to ride on a fell beast. Easterlings are relatively easy to paint and can be painted with just the paints found in the new Warhammer 40k paint set (E.G. I would paint them with just Retributor Armor(Gold), Mephiston Red, Abbadon Black, and Leadbealcher(Metal color)for their swords) and the wash the model with agrax earth shade. Sorry if that was very confusing, any of the special rules I mentioned can be found in the rulebook. It will make a lot more sense when you get the Army book. In Summary: Easterlings are great for holding lines and defending positions or chokepoints with their relatively tough armor, their decent model count, and good heroes but suffer due to their warriors lack of hitting power.

@@Kan3sky Sorry. Easterlings are best when they are put on the defense defending chokepoints with their pikes and heavily armored horses while your heroes kill the rest of your problems.

I see what you are saying it would be awesome if they did that. The good thing is that you can get the models that you want just by themselves

They cant charge him but they can simply form a circle around him so that he cant move. I always keep him with me

@@ConquestCreations thanks!! I was wondering because all cavalry armies such as Rivendell might not have the numbers to do that. In that case it would be worth it to put it on a warband? Do you see any usefulness in mounting Grima on a horse?

@@miguelcorreia1149 Yeah that is the exact situation where you would keen grima with them. Although in that case he would need to be on a horse otherwise they will just run away from him. Another time that you should leave him with your enemy is if they are playing an all hero army I personally don't use him on horse but that's more because I don't have the model. He would be pretty good on horse but I have never felt the need

@@ConquestCreations thanks once again!! Useful advice!! I once was playing heirlooms of ages past and got Grima to hold the relic, according to the rules he could not be charged. We both agreed that it was op on that scenario and decided to make it that he could be charged. Did we play the game correctly? Or is it meta to bring Grima to that certain scenario? Thanks for all the insight, the Isengard and Mordor videos are really useful!!
