We all know the Willy Wonka movies; the ones with Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp, the Tom & Jerry crossover that no one likes talking about, and the soon-to-be Timothee Chalamet prequel flick. However, there actually is another official Wonka film, one made in Sweden in 1983. It may be an obscure piece of Wonka media that practically no one in the west has heard about, but it IS an official Dahl-approved Wonka film (or we can assume it is at least). Let’s take a dive into this “lost” film, shall we?

I saw this on tv 1998. I was 6 years old and got TOTALLY FRIKKIN OBSESSED with this show. Probably because Ernst-Hugo made it sound so interesting. A year later I got the VHS’s and was incredibly happy.

As an 1980's kid born in 1978 in Sweden. I grew up with this one, and it is still the best book to tv series adaptation ever

Johan Anderblad! The ”narrator ” is one host of the hosts of THE tv show for kids in Sweden. Bolibompa 🐉(the mascot is a dragon). Its still ongoing today. Johan is a popular author about a kid learning about vehicles. He is also an ambassador for reading.

What's sad is that the Wonka ads bothered to made Wonka, himself, look more like Gene Wilder than that Tom And Jerry cash-grab. Anyway, THEY AXED THE CANDY?! I always wondered why I haven't seen the nerds or those (awesome) candy ropes. I just thought I was just not paying much attention in stores or that the stores I was in weren't selling them. Darn it, Nestle!!

Yeah, I don't know what country you live in, but all the Wonka candies are still available in the US, just without the Wonka brand attached. It was the brand that was axed, not the candy.

This is taken from a swedish kids tvshow and the Guy are one of a team of tv hosts for the show who presents the bits during the show. I remember watching this, What probably was the only time (or they re-shown it throughout the years) But i remember it haunted me for some time.

It's a TV adaption in 10 episodes narrated by the legendary Swedish actor Ernst-Hugo Järegård to the illustrations made by the Swedish illustrator Bengt-Arne Runnerström. First broadcast in Sweden on SVT 2 in 1983, also shown in Norway at NRK TV in 1986 with the late comedian Trond Kirkvaag as the Norwegian narrator.

Since several Roald Dahl adaptations did get two stop motion adaptations which turn out to be the best it got me thinking what if Charlie and the Chocolate Factory got a stop motion animated adaptation

I’m actually making a homemade willy wonka movie and it uses a variety of different techniques which include stop motion, live action, cgi animation, visual effects and puppetry and will be on my KZfaq account within this year hopefully Wow 🤩 I got a heart
