The Lost World: Jurassic Park Movie Description:
The Lost World: Jurassic Park is a 1997 American science fiction adventure action film.[4] It is the second installment in the Jurassic Park franchise and the second film in the Jurassic Park trilogy. A sequel to 1993's Jurassic Park and loosely based on Michael Crichton's 1995 novel The Lost World, the film was directed by Steven Spielberg and written by David Koepp. The film stars Jeff Goldblum, returning as the eccentric chaos theorist and mathematician Ian Malcolm, as well as Julianne Moore, Pete Postlethwaite, Arliss Howard, Vince Vaughn, and Vanessa Lee Chester. Four years after the original film, John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) sends a team, led by Malcolm, to Isla Sorna, the second island Hammond's company InGen used to make the dinosaurs, to study the animals while coming into conflict with a team led by InGen to bring some of the dinosaurs back to the United States.
After the original novel's release and the first film's success, fans pressured Crichton for a sequel. Following the book's publication in 1995, production began on a film sequel. Filming took place from September to December 1996, primarily in California, with a shoot in Kauai, Hawaii, where the first film was shot. The Lost World's plot and imagery is substantially darker than Jurassic Park. It makes more extensive use of computer-generated imagery to depict the dinosaurs, along with life-sized animatronics.
Released on May 23, 1997, the film received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the visuals and action sequences, but criticized the writing and character development. The film was a box office success, grossing over $618 million worldwide, becoming the second-highest-grossing film of 1997. It earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Visual Effects. A sequel, Jurassic Park III, was released on July 18, 2001.

Definitely yes. JP3 is also great, but in another different way. After that, the Jurassic World trilogy is a modernized take. U should see them all. This is one of my top franchises for sure. On an unrelated note. Did u know that there's a sequel to The Shining called Doctor Sleep?? It's farely recent and really good. It's 1 of my favorite newer movies. Last recommendation, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. Another 1 of my favorites.

The T-Rex that found the infant in the docks was the father T-rex, The mother T-rex was still on Isla Sorna.

The Male T.Rex was the one who ended up going to San Diego. The female stayed behind on the island.

The Compsognathus or Compy's, the little dinosaur that hunt in packs, those thing are only the size of a chicken, the guy who got chased in the small river killed by dozens of small bites, which he probably still half alive before eventually dies. The Lost World is probably one the darkest entry in the franchise, love your reactions!

I saw this in a packed theater and the audience response was VERY enthusiastic. We all enjoyed this wildly entertaining monster movie. It was a great group experience. Michael Crichton's story actually pays homage to the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle novel of the same name by using some of the same major plot points. As for the third movie in the series, many say it's inferior to the first two but I happen to enjoy it just as much.

Here's my rating for the Jurassic Franchise. JURASSIC PARK, 9/10. THE LOST WORLD, 8/10 JURASSIC PARK 3, 6/10 JURASSIC WORLD, 8/10 JURASSIC WORLD 2, 8.5/10.

6 islands. Only Nublar and Sorna have appeared on film. Sorna was TLW and JP3. The other islands are Matanceros, Muerta, Tacano, and Pena.

2 down. Three more to go! The third movie brings back two of the main characters from the first movie but its probably the least popular of the franchise. You will still enjoy it tho. Then after that its Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

The first Dinosaurs that get seen by Ian, Eddie, and Nick are Stegosaurus, one of the most iconic plant-eating Dinosaurs of all time. And when you think about it, they're kind of a record-holder in the Jurassic Park/World franchise. They're the first plant-eaters to show that, if they are provoked, plant-eating Dinosaurs can be EQUALLY as dangerous as the meat-eaters. Also, the reason the baby Stego panicked was because Sarah's camera made that high-pitched whine when it started rewinding. It probably mistook the sound for the attack scream of a Velociraptor or something.

Yes, the father and baby were reunited with the mother in the end shot of the film.

There is debate whether there was sexual dimorphism in T-Rexes (whether or not the males and females looked different). It was thought at one point that females were actually BIGGER and more strongly built than males, but now that theory is kinda sketchy. But this film mainly tried to make the male and female T-Rex different through their color schemes. Similar to how male and female birds often have different colors, the female T-Rex is more a solid, darker color (dark brown), while the male T-Rex has much brighter colors (blacks and greens) and more patterns in his skin coloring. Also, that T-Rex who gets brought to the mainland is actually the Dad, not the Mom.

that one east Indian dude Ajay death was deleted but his scream could be heard at 23:01 , his death scene was kinda sad. So basically you saw that he was yelling don't run into the tall grass, and then he suddenly runs into the tall grass, the reason he did this was because he thought Roland (the bald hunter, who was the leader of the group) was killed, so basically since he was second in charge, it was his duty to take the lead, and so he led the people in the tall grass, later on during the attack the deleted scene with him standing in the middle looking around while the chaos is occurring, he stands there helpless thinking it was his fault, and then a couple velociraptor heads rise up from the grass and move towards him, and that where the scene cuts away to the main characters going into the long grass, where you then hear his scream at 23:01

YESSSS! Drove me nuts! 🤣🤣🤣 Stepping all over jokes and good lines or asking questions over the literal answer that is being given at the same time! Or a "Why are they doing this?" or "That makes no sense." two thirds of the way through, when the answer was clearly established earlier in the film but nattered over. I'm aware that it's a reaction channel and there needs to be discussion, but there doesn't seem to be any awareness of film pacing, dramatic pauses and dialogue meter.

My most favourite Jurassic Movie; the Doe and Buck and Infant are my favourite Tyrannosaurs in the series. what I find hilarious is how Humanity keeps trying with the Dinosaur thing even though countless people died *X'D*

dude!! y’all NEED to react to The Prince of Egypt! it’s an animated dreamworks film. the animation is gorgeous and the score is just *CHEFS KISS!* it’s so good! it’s an underrated classic. you should definitely check it out. highly recommended it! i know an animated movie doesn’t super fit the vibe of your channel, but i thought i’d be cool to throw something new into the mix. also, it’s actually pretty dark and mature that i felt like it’d still be a good suggestion.

I hated this film at first because my favorite character, Alan Grant, is not in the movie. But I have learned to love it and fans, like myself, consider it to be the best film in the series.

I think it was less 'welcome to America T-Rex' and more "America, welcome to T-Rex". One is thrilled to be there, but a whooooole lot of others are going to be less happy about the introduction. It's been years since I saw the movie, but watching you two tense up each time made all those shivers come back.

According to the novelization, the little girl managed to keep her feet throughout the compy attack, and thus kept her vitals away from their little pirhana mouths. She did this long enough for her father and the crewmen to arrive in response to her screams and chase the compies away. She was very traumatized, and her legs were ripped up to the point of permanent scarring, but she was ultimately alright, as Hammond said.

The next movie is... how do you say not very good. It doesn’t expand at all on anything in this movie. Did you like dinosaurs on the mainland? Too bad. It’s just a popcorn movie with no substance what so ever. How generic is it? It was written in just 6 weeks. No joke. You can look that up. They tossed out their working script 6 weeks before filming and just basically had to make everything up on the spot and that’s certainly how the movie feels. You’ll have to wait until Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom to see dinosaurs on the mainland again. As much as people seem to hate that film, it’s actually a lot of fun to watch
