The transparency vs musicality (for lack of a better word) argument is an interesting one. I would guess it's the thing that causes many of us to flip between components the most. Great video.

Another great video! Really nicely put together. Thank you for describing your ongoing experiences with LUMIN A1. Maybe one day you can be tempted to try P1. In my opinion, it is the spiritual successor to A1 in sound/value.

Easiest improvements are a Stack Audio SmoothLAN and an Audio Sensibility DC Umbilical. I love my A1!!!

It’s a nice looking unit. I’d be into streaming, but subscriptions add up. Bluetoothing to a high def receiver through my Proton amp to my Heresy’s does the job for me. The comment I really want to make is how professional your review looked. Well shot and to the point, listing your pros and cons. Well, one con…the overhang, which I don’t get either. Really nice job, Ivar👍🏻

Want to improve the Lumin....use Network Acoustic Eno ethernet filter between the router and streamer.

We have a few customers using these type of passive filters. Aardvark is another popular one. Our more recent High End units include optional Fibre Networking to achieve ethernet noise isolation.

Mooi en volledige test! Ik zie in je rek ook een Audiolab loopwerk staan. Een paar jaar terug ook op mijn verlanglijst, maar toch gekozen voor een 2e hands C.E.C. TL3 N. Zou je ook je Audiolab cd transport met een duurdere loopwerk willen vergelijken en testen? Alvast bedankt en succes met je kanaal.

Hai, dank voor het compliment. Ik zou zeker loopwerken willen vergelijken, maar ik heb geen toegang tot dergelijke loopwerken. Hoe bevalt jouw C.E.C.?

@@theaudiophilebarista2424 De CEC klink ruimtelijk, gedetailleerd en analoog. De reden voor aanschaf ivm storingen op mijn Sugden AU51 loopwerk uit 1993. Eerlijk gezegd, klinkt de Sugden mooier (lees: warmer) door de klasse A uitgang (die de CED niet heeft) en iets minder gedetailleerd en met minder strakke bas. Gebruik de CEC alleen bij cd's die de Sugden niet wilt spelen. Uiteraard zijn beiden met een zelfde soort interlink met de Sugden AU51C verbonden, nl. de Van de Hull Digicoupler.

Mooi apparaat, eyecandy. De Bluesounds vind ik spuuglelijk. Zit er een ab bij?

Ik vond de Bluesound looks wel oké, maar dit is duidelijk meer eyecandy 😉 Er is een optionele AB, maar ik zou niet goed weten waarom je die zou willen? De app doet alles.
