We were all led to believe what the writers wanted us to believe. Take a look at that woman in the bus. Red lips, red hair, red everything. It's the Red Herring we were told to watch out for. We took one look at her giving her number to John, and John texting some rando at night, faithful and loyal John Watson, and we instantly believe that this man is being unfaithful to his wife, while he may just as well be texting his sister. Don't believe everything you see.

Who said it’s unpopular? This is easily the best episodes in season 4 and one of best episodes of all Sherlock with A Scandal in Belgravia together being the best of the best. Other great episodes S1 episode 1+3 , S2 episode 3, and S3 episodes 1+2+3

Remember when Sherlock is shot? "It's not like it is in the movies, there isn't a huge spurt of blood and you go flying backwards" yet that's exactly what happens to Mary. So did she really die? Also, I'm certain I just saw her as one of the nurses. Remember what we are told? "She's a dead woman, a dead woman walking" is this hinted yo something more? Something is telling me we haven't seen the last of Rosamund Mary yet...

dappled_dreams i am also going to mention that Mary shouldn't even had been able to jump in front of Sherlock in time. Bullets are too fast. I've seen people say something entirely different happened and that wasn't real. That or they really messed up last episode.

Well, the jump was funny, and I'm no expert, but this was not the same as Sherlock getting shot. It was in a different place, explaining why it was so deadly (Mary made sure it wasn't lethal), yet the shock and adrenaline would have allowed her to stay conscious, along with pure will. Yet again, no expert, but Sherlock was immediately calm and collected, and retreated to the mind palace to stay out of shock, but Mary only had a fraction of a second after seeing Norbury raise the gun. Plus, she wasn't exactly thrown back, she more stumbled or fell. And again, Sherlock was extremely calm and shot in a different area. Also, in the scene of the nurses, it's all John's old girlfriends, so the scene is likely in the mindpalace or a dream.
