Try to get her to talk about herself. People love to talk about what their passionate about. And if you're going to talk about yourself but don't want it to seem like you're self centred then talk about yourself and get her involved. You might say something like "you know, I have 5 dogs and sometimes I get overwhelmed taking care of them all. Got any advice?" or you could even use that as an excuse or way to get her to come help you take care of the dogs. Jts be creative with it man. Have fun with it. It's much better that simply saying "I have 5 dogs", try to keep it open ended
