5:18 - Oh, yes! Give me more of that! Castor Morveer is my second favorite character from Best Served Cold and you sold me on this book by reminding him, I want more of this kind of characters.

I'm listening to the audiobook, so entertaining! I love the unusual pov of older Humans, it's refreshing. Kinda pausing it once in a while to not blow through it.

you convinced me! I am rereading the Bakker sequels for the 3rd time 'cuz nothing Ive read so far gets me that quality of grim/grit in fantasy. this sounds good fun to come off of Seswatha's constant flogging lol

This book is one I thought I would like. I should have liked it, as this is the kind of things I like to read. It was a chore to get through as I couldn’t connect to the characters nor the story. Sigh. It happens every once in a while.

🤔I have a question, and I don't see any videos about it. I feel like you are the man to answer it. I want to read some Mark Lawrence... what reading order would YOU recommend?

Depends on what you are looking to jump into. If you have no qualms with grimdark I would suggest starting with Broken Empire then move onto Red Queens War. After that the books of ancestor and the books of ice (last book of ice should be released in April 2022

@@slowlyred2082 I've read joe abercrombie up to sharp ends, I started age of madness but quit to read salem's lot for Halloween lol. But before I jump back in I've been hearing a lot about mark lawrence being just fucking gruesome and the protagonist just being... unique. Thanks for the recommendation! I'm gonna check these out.

Jorg Ancrath is a cold dude, but I love him 🖤 broken empire is one of my favorite trilogies
