Bill Burr has turned out to easily be one of the best things about this series. EDIT: I should add that what you said about Burr just going in and feeling lived in, most of the Season 2 actors have pulled that off as well. I feel like Season 2 has much better acting than Season 1.

Bill burr has spent years on stage. His two gifts are his ability to create character impersonations for his jokes, and talk about his temper that he is always trying to control. Burr didn’t know it. But he’s been preparing for this role his entire life. Lol

Mando threw Gideon's own words from season 1 back in his face which psyched him out. The element of surprise is a lot but it isn't everything. For the first time Gideon didn't look so smug. Also, this episode showed that Din is now willing and ready to do anything to get his kid back. He was formidable when he kept to his code and rules. He is now even more dangerous.

I much prefer this episode a week format over just dropping them all at once. It allows you to appreciate each episode individually and lets them sink in instead of the whole thing just breezing by in one weekend. I also really enjoy seeing all the different reactions and discussions each week and wondering what's going to happen next.

Bill Burr had some of the most Riveting character development moments here, and that “operation Cinder” conversion had me chilled in a good but tense way, I have to say though when he took the CycloRifle from mando I completely forgot till after all was said and done that he was Ex Imperial “Sharpshooter” I was just blown away in general

I've never really been a big fan of comedians as actors outside of comedy films. Often I feel they have the tendency to try to be funny when scenes don't call for it. This was a very serious scene between his character and his former commanding officer. Looked like he dropped any comedy pretense once he was really forced to deal with him. It was really great to see and was probably my favorite part of the episode.

Mando told Gideon the exact same lines Gideon used in the first season. The only difference is that Gideon called Grogu IT while Mando said HE.

Disney will not release binge EXACTLY because they know you will come back week after week. That's 2 to 3 months of subscription, your talking about it ALL week and social media keeps cycling with anticipation.

To Achara: I think an underrated reason for the success of Mandalorian is the weekly release. Just think about how quickly the 8 episodes which average out to like 34 minutes a piece would get binged by the world. Everyone would be done with Mando in 2 weeks TOPS. Then what? No weekly build of anticipation. No two months worth of articles, videos, podcasts, social media posts and fans discussing what happened and what they think will happen next at the "water cooler". After a month Mando would fade away from the pop culture zeitgeist and what a shame that'd be. So personally I'm so happy this show is weekly release, even though like you for selfish reasons I wish I could just watch them all. Just think about how for us, learning Grogu's name took over a year (from first seeing "The Child" to seeing Ahsoka calling him Grogu) but for those that will binge it, in a day they'll go from first seeing him to learning his name. Think about how different that experience will be for that binger compared to us who waited. It's a unique experience and it changes how you value certain parts of the show.

It's a call back to episode 7 of last season 1 Moff Gideon said the same thing to him. It's a psychological intimidation tactic that shows he is willing too do anything to get grogu back even turning his back on the mandalorian code cause he loves the child that much as if he were his actual own son. I like the grounded perspective as well from the POV of both the Empire and New Republic too humanize and flesh out the characters.

On the subject you mentioned about the stunts, with the faceplanting into the ground. It seemed like it got really popular especially since The Raid series. Those movies really made current action movie stunts step their game up.

I can't believe so many people are attacking Jaby and Achara for not getting the references. Is there a pact that only star wars fans who have watched The Clone Wars, Rebels, and read all the novels can react to The Mandalorian? Just because they haven't indulged in all of the material does not mean they can't react to the show or aren't "true star wars fans." Some of the fanbase can be so toxic smh.

Actually I like that they do the Mandalorian on Fridays b/c it leaves suspense and keeps spoilers to a minimum. Someone could watch the whole season and then ruin it for other people. Or if you have any sense of being good about it and watch it, you can't TALK to anyone about it b/c you don't know who's seen it or people are at different points. I prefer Disney's method over Netflix, it's old school episodic, not binge.

Well technically..Mando didnt remove "his" helmet in front of others...he removed the trooper helmet...he removed his helmet in solitude while changing which i think is allowed...so technically Mando didnt broke the rules.....i dont think the rule is you can't show your face to anyone...its you cannot remove your helmet or let it be removed by others...there's a big loophole there..LOL

Don't forget that Din and Grogu are a clan of two: the Mudhorns. Din has been described as a member of the Mandalorian zealots. His mission is as important to him as not letting others see his face. If Grogu were to die, he will have failed his mission. Grogu obviously means more to him than his mission does, given how they've bonded through their journey, but when the time comes to send Grogu on his way, should that actually happen, Din, I believe will let him go. Din knows deep down that Grogu needs to be properly trained to control his powers, and as Grogu gets older and stronger he becomes more dangerous to himself and others. While it'll be hard to let him go, I believe he'll do it. Still, I don't think that it'll mean goodbye forever, but for a time. The Jedi he called last week is coming and he's not coming just to check in and head on back where he came from--yeah, I said he because I'm pretty certain that the Jedi is going to be a face we all haven't seen in 28 years that has passed in the Star Wars timeline. Ahsoka specifically told us when and how Grogu was taken off Coruscant--we know it happened during order 66. Grogu's memory goes black after that, and it seems to me that someone is going to be brought into fill in those gaps. The only person who can do that, IMHO, is a Jedi, as only Jedi have access to younglings. And Ahsoka specifically said that if Grogu reached out into the Force on Tython that there was a chance a surviving Jedi could hear his call--it there was a chance of a Sith sense him, she likely wouldn't have suggested that, as she knows how dangerous the Sith can be. Anyway, a Jedi is coming and I can't wait to see Samuel L. Jackson in Star Wars again. Yeah, I think we're going to see Mace Windu. I can't imagine a better way to top of season 2, which has been full of bringing back characters from Star Wars' past: Boba Fett, Slave-1, Dark Troopers, Ahsoka Tano, Grand Admiral Thrawn etc. Mace's reveal would create a lot of hype for season three two. Let's go!
