I love how (at least to me) Mando was kind of shown up by the Nite Owls the whole time. They're wrecking and don't get me wrong Mando wrecks too, but the Nite Owls work together so perfectly and he's just in the back like "oh shit they're good"

Yeah Joe was right that it was really nice just to have some old straight faced dude as the commander of that ship. Entire scene could’ve been ruined if it was like the movies where some young dude is freaking out because some Mandalorian are on their way to kill him.

17:15 - We do see Storm Trooper training of this era in Rebels and a little bit in some of the games, if I recall. These are not the troopers that forged the Galactic Empire. They're not really even trained in the use of their equipment. They're a cheap defense that is quick to deploy. It's pure numbers. The Empire's real weapon is fear. The Mandalorians are nearly the antithesis to that.

Bo Katan was big for me, Katee Sackhoff was giant for me, and dropping Ahsoka's name was astronomical..

I love this review honestly. It was very cohesive and fluid, Everyone had a voice which I appreciate. You still had your flair with the jokes and facial expressions but you allowed everyone to speak and so did they. Damn good review.

After the debacle that was the sequel trilogy, seeing the lore of Clone Wars and Rebels finally getting live action debuts gives me hope for the Star Wars franchise. I think that's why Mandolorian has been such a good series so far - it feels like Clone Wars and Rebels, which are arguably some of the best bits of SW media around, but live action.

What nobody is talking about, is how the male Mandalorian literally looked like a descendent of one of the first Jango Fett clones

@AngryJoe As a fan and someone who knows the lore, just want to clarify that the reason Bo Katan knew so much about the Mandalorian and his way is because she herself was a member of the Death Watch before leaving when Maul, an outsider, took control of the Darksaber and the Death Watch in Clone Wars. Also, Bo Katan IS next in line to rule Mandalore cause she is the sister of the Dutchess who ruled Mandalore before Maul killed her.

I understand that a lot of people feel like he’s constantly doing side quests instead of the main plot line, but I think you need to take into account that this is for all intents and purposes a western sit in the Star Wars universe, and western TV shows had a tendency to be kind of a adventure of the week structure. I love the way the episodes are, because it feeds into the fact that this is so much lower and stakes than the films.

One thing that I have to compliment the producers of The Mandalorian series of doing is taking their action heroines seriously. One of my biggest complaints about Hollywood is that they tend to cast any pretty high profile actress in action roles, but they don't look the part. They are seldom believable in their role. Unlike most actors, who kind of have to look like they are built for action, the actresses are not held to this standard. The producers of The Mandalorian make it a point to cast actresses who look far more formidable in their roles than your typical dainty Hollywood actress. Katee Sachoff, Gina Carano, Sasha Banks, and soon Rosario Dawson, while fitting the typical actress mold of being beautiful, also look like they are athletic and tough enough to be warriors in their own right. So kudos to the creators of The Mandalorian for doing their heroines justice.

Child eating the eggs was super weird to me. Frog lady said multiple times this was her last her clutch of eggs. I thought they would kinda save the moment by having the child eat most of the eggs and then have the carrier destroyed. The child I thought would then throw up showing that he’d saved the eggs. Turns out it wasn’t that deep and they just thought it was funny.

One of my favorite scenes was at the end when the Imp was trying to divebomb into the port and Mando just walked into the hail of heavy repeater fire to throw the explosives, also love the mg34s used as heavy blasters

I have to disagree Joe, this for me, personally, was the best Episode of the Mandalorian, Ashoka Tano, Bo Katan, these characters, even the mere mention of them, makes shivers go down my spine, it feels so incredible. It's because of my love for the universe, that this Episode, hit so hard.

We're probably getting another filler episode before we meet Ashoka since Dave Filoni is directing ep. 5

A Couple missed things: 1) The director, her father directed Apollo 13 and the re-entry scene from this episode was a near shot for shot remake. 2) When Bo-Katan reaches into the pool to pull Mando out, it's the same angle and sorta look as the flashback from season 1 of the Mandalorian pulling him from the pit. Possibly showing he might adopt the "new way" with Clan Kryze.

Only two problems with this episode: 1. More bashing of Stormtrooper aim. It's old and it's supposed to be a meta joke, not hard lore. I get that these would hardly be the best of the best at this point, but come on. 2. TOO DAMN SHORT!

I watched the episode and waited for this review because you guys are so funny and awesome.

I do wonder a little about the armor. Every other Beskar Armor was colored so far, except from our main hero, does it mean when he joins a faction he gits his colors?

Theory that baba Yoda is a clone and raised on Kamino, that explains the empires interest and why they had a cloner sent to take him back to empire last season and why they keep zooming in on yoda looking in the blue water glass where the eggs were. Like how clones are bred on kamino.They did it several times and it could be hinting at something. Also explains why he’s so attached to mando like a baby would when it first sees it’s parents. If he’s a clone he wouldn’t have ever had one
