Joyce Bulifant, Murray’s wife from The Mary Tyler Moore Show is hysterical as she talks to John and Bob about her fellow cast members Mary Tyler Moore, Ed Asner, Gavin MacLeod and Ted Knight on The Mary Tyler Moore Show! She also talks about dancing with Fred Astaire, working with Walt Disney and her marriage to James MacArthur. Joyce is a gem and very genuine! She shares many wonderful stories from her varied career, including working with Donald O'Connor and Fred MacMurray. Joyce is a delight to talk with, and her stories are sure to entertain. Enjoy!

Thank you so much for these wonderful interviews with all of these great talents we grew up with in reruns in the '70s! on Milwaukee UHF TV stations! (I am from Wisconsin, as well, and live in Tokyo, Japan:) Love just putting these interviews on at work or at home....

I have only probably got through the first season of the MTM show …. And have yet to see her role but she seems a lady. Her memories of Gavin McCleoud is rather lovely… he seemed a well grounded man sweet man. Such a great show that more than ever a world in this period … needs. Something quite special has left our culture that I feel has sadly changed the landscape. 😊

Oh my goodness. Joyce was such a delight. Her voice hasn’t changed after all these years. Just a couple of “Six Degrees of Joyce Bulifant” that weren’t mentioned, (I’m sure there are more, but these were the ones I immediately thought of. Robbie Rist, before being part of the cast of “Big John, Little John”, he was in the final season of “The Brady Bunch” as “Cousin Oliver”. And in the movie “Airplane”, the young actress who played Joyce’s daughter, Jill Whalen, also played Gavin MacLeod’s daughter on “The Love Boat”. And “Match Game”, loved the show. Big part of my teen years of the ‘70s growing up. Still watch it on Buzzr and GSN. I’m not sure I knew that Joyce was dyslexic. I knew that Fannie Flagg is, who was also part of “Match Game”. Maybe you could get Fannie as a guest sometime. Love the channel. ❤️❤️

Loved this!!! I have an aunt that is the same bubbly type personality. She reminds me so much of Joyce. So glad that you have produced these interviews. I have always loved hearing back stories of songs and shows. Brilliant!

I believe Joyce, John Amos (Gordy the weatherman) and Lisa Geritsen (Bess Lindstrom, Phyllis' daughter) are the only semi-regular cast members still living. All of the regular cast members are no longer of this world.

Thank you for inviting Joyce Bulifant to your channel. She was a delight to hear and her stories. She has had the most fantastic career as an actress, and the people she had a chance to work with or meet in person. Hearing her voice gave me so many good feelings about my memories when I was a child in the 1970s, such as her role on the Mary Tyler Moore Show. I hope you will invite her again for another interview.

The supporting players are just as important in many ways as the main ones, and she has proven this across decades. It was so heartwarming to listen to her, as though I was in the room with you.
