*INNER WORK ESSENTIALS - TEACHING INTENTIONS & STATEMENT OF DIRECTION* 1) Provide the student with an informed and representative overview of multiple complementary therapeutic modalities to support their self-healing process; with special encouragement placed upon the auto-therapeutic application of holistic healing modalities for particular problems at particular stages in their journey. 2) Nourish the intellectual and spiritual maturation of the student by familiarising them with the most exciting, challenging and credible concepts in developmental psychology, consciousness studies and transpersonal metaphysics; with central emphasis being placed upon comparative analysis of multiple complex theories. 3) Encourage an empowered and more authentic sense of individual self-expression as a combined outcome of the two previous intentions, plus the application of holistic lifestyle principles, self-educational practises, and foundational healthy habits. *EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES (what you'll get from these videos)* *On completion of this series, the student should expect to be:* 1) Auto-therapeutic. The student will feel generally competent in their ability to select and self-administer the most suitable therapeutic modality on a full-spectrum basis: ranging from the somatic resolution of central childhood wounds to the everyday self-regulation of symptomatic stress responses such as anxiety and addiction. 2) Closer towards baseline integral consciousness (Wilber). Through their combined efforts of rigorous self-inquiry and critical engagement with recommended reading material, the student will have significantly developed their intellectual and spiritual maturity to a noticeable degree, in likely correlation with their depth of engagement. 3) Holistically Empowered. The student will enjoy a meaningful expansion of their physical, emotional, sexual, and creative expression as a result of their healing and expansion work. In short, they will be healthier, happier and feel more complete. 4) Self-educational. The student will have felt organically inspired to move beyond free video content and create a self-structured learning arc which takes maximum advantage of at least several dozen inner working books mentioned within the course. The student will consequently enjoy lifelong learning habits including: critical research skills, long-term focus, and the ability to know when to stop studying.

Going step by step, without skipping the necessary healing of our early trauma, is essential. Thanks for helping us ground our perspective and appreciate the beautiful complexity of this model of the masculine archetypes. Nice hat btw.

@@jordanthornton These days I'd found myself cultivating the warrior through my work. However, I feel that all archetypes are present at varying degrees throughout the day. My life is permeated by the lover, I'm in constant need of developing kingly boundaries and blessings, and the magician is calling me to learn constantly. Striving the authentic balance is the hard part. Thank you!

This is the first video I watched on your channel, after putting in the title of the book you mention in the video. As a woman who cannot relate to any of the female archetypes of mother, crone, maiden, even witch, etc, I listened to my inner girl (who was naturally in touch with her masculine energy before entering the so-called civilised world) and began reading about male archetypes. I find myself resonating with the warrior and the lover, a warrior-lover, a samurai. :) Very relieving to my spirit, but I do not quite know how to relate to both men and women now 🤔. Lots of gratitude, love and power to you Jordan. 🕯

Appreciate your work here - there is plenty to be done in regards to learning about all the archetypes. I had to go through the same work when connecting with certain aspects of myself that felt distant until I learned more and started building inner relationships / expressions.

Jordan, your insights are becoming such an organic part of my life that I forgot that the recommendation for this book came from you -- after reading it I wanted to see if there were some discussions on KZfaq, and here I am once more, I've come full circle. Rewatching this after having read the book, dreamed it and tried to integrate the wisdom it contains is doubly valuable. That says enough about the depth of your understanding, and the masterful way in which your videos can serve both as introductions and as further food for thought. Thanks for everything you're doing!

How very interesting. In fact the Tarot cards show the exact same initiatic path, both for feminine and masculine energies. The page or prince energy is not full blown adult male energy. Possibly that is why it is not included in the book. There is an initiation happening in childhood, and then there is a continuation of that process in harnessing the 4 male archetypes. Thank you! I will read this book.

Beautiful! More women should pay attention to this. Our internal image of masculine principles is completely broken. I've been convinced for a while now that things are much harder for man in matters of healing and self-expression. Which seems utterly oppositional to the general discourse of the patriarchy, I know! But while women have been openly repressed and shoved in constrictive ways of being, this allowed them to run the backstage, and with considerate freedom provided they disguised their influence well enough. I might get in serious trouble with feminists for stating that, but I firmly believe it's been the women's hall-of-mirror-esque chess play throughout history what's been keeping maintenance of the patriarchal caricature of a civilization for much longer than needed. It's not blaming women for the violence suffered against us, but taking responsibility in our "comfort zone" pulling strings behind curtains. As mothers, we break man's bones only to complain later they are "malfunctioning" and needing to hide behind all sorts of defensive behaviors. The darkness of a shadowy mother has only begun to be unraveled by our collective. Men are completely cast inside a position that grants them too little space to move. Emotional inflexibility has become synonym for strength, and suppressing basic human needs and sensible reactions to the world around became synonym for trustworthiness. That is unbelievable BS for me! Sorry if I'm a little too passionate about it. lol Oh, and look how curious (just to end in a lighter tone... >

I always love reading your thoughtful comments, Fran! So many great points here, I don't even know where to respond! It's so refreshing to read some of your perspective on inter-gender dynamics and the necessity of empathy between men and women as we support each other in our healing work. Your perspective on the shadow feminine is particularly interesting - are you saying that we need to pay more attention to the ways the immature feminine has restricted our society (as opposed to being mainly at the victim-end of male transgression)?
@RomanoFrancine
@RomanoFrancine 2 жыл бұрын
@@jordanthornton I'm sorry I make it difficult with these humongous comments, I can't help myself sometimes. lol But yes, precisely. The aspects of the feminine that fears being upfront because of backlash can be fierce when it comes to defending its victimhood as part of the blaming game. Unfortunately, they use their position as a receiver of violence as a justification beforehand, unaware of the whole system they are feeding. As I said, our internalized masculine is so distorted, we project the worst image of male expression as a given. Women act out the only "defense" they instinctively feel they have: castration and shaming. When you feel the only advantage you have is that your "opponent" doesn't see you coming, in your mind, it becomes your only way to survive. So we don't want to give up the only thing that is potentially protecting us from receiving worse than we already have. Harsh feminism, in my perception, is the pinnacle of this attempt to subvert men's reach and power. Turning the wheel upside down in the discourse of "futility of the masculine": utter castration. It takes building solid ground from both sides, not just shooting the ball to men's side of the court and exempting ourselves from the need to reconstruct the whole way we interact with masculinity in a safe and valuable way - and ultimately reconstruct the way we expect them to present themselves as innocuous and weak in order for us to feel safe. This pushes man to also respond by escalating the exertion of dominance. To every action there's an opposite reaction in equal intensity, right? If we keep waiting on one another to give up the grip on false solutions it's gonna be endless. Support does not and will never mean gathering a crusade against a perceived evil. That is retribution. Total different stories.

I started watching your videos just a few weeks ago and love your energy & content, grippy reminders on my own path of individuation and integration. Do you have some content or ideas about how to connect the inner feminine and masculine? I have for myself the impression that both are standing, so to say, side by side but alone, without or with little bond. For the rest a poem which often comes to my mind while listening to you or better to your energy: "Sometimes a wild God" written and spoken by, Tom Hirons m.kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fJucfdGTp5rbn4U.html Thank you for all of your work & inspiration
