I kind of wish you'd mentioned their ending in the series because at the very end they stopped being villains altogether because they were given the resources they need to perform their experiments in peace and actually became a force for good on Earth

I dont even understand why they are bad guys to begin with. They seem to be pretty Funny and Chill even showing sympathy for Robot. Makes no Sense to me other than the writer wanted it to happen.

@@philippchristel7637 possible that cloning is seen as unethical, similar to real life. so they are legally not allowed to do their research which possibly leads to them hating and goes against the government/society as they think what they are doing is right, as well as the fact that they need money and tool for their research which they can’t obtain legally without the government funding so they turns to crime for the technology and tools they need so at the end when they are allowed to do their research with funding they just don’t have a reason to fight anymore

@@KeyIssuessorta like Ben 10s Vreedle Brothers Octagon and Rhomboid. Except that Octagon and Boids intelligence decrease with each new clone. Unlike the Maulers who are smarter and have both brains and brawn. Unlike the Vreedles. Octagon has the supposed brains and Boid has the strength. Sooooo really good thing the Maulers don’t have this unfortunate downside of decreased intellect

I love how the Mauler Twins tick every box on the "Big Dumb muscle dudes" checklist but you could legit argue their intelect and scientific skills are their true superpower. I would bet the og Mauler was the typical scrawny priffesor guy but his knowledge in biology made it easy for him to create basicaly a super soldier serum

Their intellect isn't like Robot's (although he is a super genius, so it's pretty unfair to compare them), but they are probably the 2nd smartest people we see. And I refer to both because the cloning process doesn't actually decrease their intelligence like they think it does

They really can’t kill off the Mauler twins. Their humor is just too good in the series along with that running joke about being the clone. I haven’t read the comics, (just picked up the Compilation #1 yesterday) but I love them in the Prime series

These guys were easily the best part of season 1 for me. It already seems like there's some differences between the comic and the show, like the guardians actually putting up a fight against Omni-Man instead of him killing him before they could even see him, so I really hope they get more of a chance to shine.

It's a stupid change for stupid meat head audiences that just want fight scenes no matter how non-sense it is. But just so you know, there is an alternate timeline where Mark warned them about Omni-man and together they are able to capture him with no casualty. That is precisely why the fight never happen in the original timeline, Omni-man knew the risk of fighting them head-on so he gave them no chance to fight back.

But the actual reason he killed them is because they actually posed a threat to him. I don't care that he blitzed them in the comics, that doesn't happen in the show.

The mauler twins are sort of like Bain from dc. Both are big and incredibly strong, while their real best attributes are being smart.

Hey bud love the comics and your channel binged everything so far, I think you missed single panel in the final few chapters where they essentially turn into “good guys” and are seen helping clear the rubble with small drones. They’re reformation was due to the actions of robot after he took control and made utopia

is my memory bad? Cuz I remember clearly as day in one volume of the comic, we saw an aftermath of a fight with the mauler twins, helping the hero cleaning the debris saying something like they’re done with doing harm and they’re gonna do better for the earth and redeem the self for their past or somethin. As a relentless self improver I fuckin love Maulers character as a whole and the king mauler arc being 4 pages is picture perfect. By giving himself a second mind and body Mauler is constantly challenging Mauler and demanding better from himself not to mention it certainly helps explain his confidence no time for metaphorical arguments with yourself and your doubts when you are constantly quite literally arguing with yourself

i'd actually hire the twins if i was Cecil and i'd give them a budget and a personally facility under 3 conditions they're can only be two of them, they have to help with repelling invasions, and if they don't do anything that'll endanger the planet then they'll have free reign to do what ever the hell they want. And if they break any of the conditions then i'll teleport or use what ever that device Cecil uses to travel and send a Kaiju to them next time they're in there

I think the whole "not knowing who the clone is" is dumb because, on the physical side, if what the machine does is copy/transfers one's mind to another body, in the Mauler Twins case an identical body, if I as the "Cloner" set the new body down on the table to the "right-side" of the machine and I lay on the "left-side" of the machine, then clearly my copied/transferred mind waking up on the right-side bed/table should know they are in the cloned body. On the mental side, if these machines copy/transfer minds all SOMA-style, then they should understand that the feeling of continuance is so surreal that they should just come to the agreement that this "who is the clone" should not be a topic of discussion that they should dwell on for too long. Still very cool concept and characters.
