i think for me generosity and patience go hand in hand. as I get older, and my parents are getting older too, I have been reflecting on how sometimes I would get frustrated with them in the past if they needed help with things like technology. now I feel a bit ashamed of that, especially when I reflect on how much time they spent nurturing me as a child. recently my dad has had to stop driving and he feels very embarrassed having to ask me for lifts, but with this new mindset, i said to him it's the least i can do after he drove me around for 20 something years. i am trying to be more generous with my time towards my parents.

Sending so much love to you and your parents. I think the key is that to be generous with others, we must also be generous with ourselves. After all, it’s hard to show up as we would wish if our well has run dry.

I caregive a 97 year old with some memory issues. I've lost all my family so I feel its a gift to caregive for other's parents. I'm appreciated by the families (and I have found my patience that I might not have had with my own.)

The Tartan Thegather is so beautiful. It reminds me of stained glass. Your color choices always amaze me❤ I love your fringed take on the flapper dancing shawl and the ode to your grandmother. I so wish I was taught as a child to knit or crochet❤ I loom knit hats now and have donated some 400 hats locally but I don't have knitting knowledge. I love cables. It's my goal to learn how to!

Home reno’s gah loads of work! I treasure my space even more now though. I’m knitting Hornby’s Corbis and am oggling the Maeron. Such different construction. I couldn’t find the Artist Shawl. Love your tassels! Looking forward to seeing if your testers do multi coloured ones.

We lived in military housing for many years, where the carpets and curtains didn't match; you could have any colour you wanted on the walls as long as it was magnolia and even holes left by picture hooks had to be filled and made good. When we bought our first home, we struggled to make colour choices and we continued to think about how the next person to live in the house would view our choices. I'm glad to say after 20 years in our present home, we're over that!

The golden yellow color on your background wall is very calming and soft. I’ll be waiting for the fringed cowl pattern to make its appearance and tomorrow I’ll be purchasing “Thegither” cowl. Choosing the colors is the hard part for me. 😊

So good to see you. I so enjoy our time together. It's so exciting about all the things going on in your home. I love the sunny yellow wall. I also know how exhausting these kinds of changes can be, so I appreciate this time that you've given to be with us. The Gither is so beautiful, and your colors also make it sing. I loved your new deck of cards, the art work is gorgeous, the words that go with it touch the soul. Take care of your self (your husband too) during this busy time.

Oh, my- but that Dancing Shawl is just fabulous! And well done with the “Thegither” cowl. So very pretty, and the tartan theme definitely comes through. Thank you for another lovely episode. I’d love to see your inky blue room. I painted my bedroom a dark blue (and painted all the woodwork to match). I think it’s gorgeous. Happy painting!

Your videos are always so calming and lovely. The Dancing Shawl is so fun and makes me think of a shawl I had as a teenager (I might have it still). The pome at the end was so poignant and a little sad while having us turn to joy. Love your color choices they are so cheerful. My mom had our dinning room painted that same bright yellow. Happy knitting 💚🧶💚

I love your new pattern. In looking on Ravelry on the specs for the pattern, I am confused by the yardage requirements. It just doesn't seem correct. Even the small (short) version would require over 400 meters and you have listed 175-280 meters. I am confused. Help.
