Sure brings back memories. I did my basic at Fort Ord in the beginning of 68. Military was one of my worst fears. After I completed basic, I thought Is that all there is to basic training.

USMC boot camp in the 60's and 70's were brutal

Lots changed. From 8 Weeks to 10 Weeks BCTs to 22 Week Infantry/Armor/Artillery/Engineer/MP OSUT(One Station Unit Training).

My Dad served in Viet Nam..........all I can say is...."That's back when the Men were Men and the sheep were scared and the Men had to wear tunics because the sheep could hear zippers -Sir/Ma'am".

This is not a Democracy.....this is a small Dictatorship and you will conform.....one man dropps the ball all will be punished just to enhance the point/instills attention to detail/core values/motovation/take care of your fellow members.
