I want you all to know I JUST played through Void Stranger. Had I played it sooner, it would have definitely been on this list. Moral of the story: Play Void Stranger. ESPECIALLY if you like games like Tunic.

Damn this is a killer list! Every game mentioned here is an S-tier banger, but I have to give a special shout-out to Tunic. That game is super rad and has some really great reveals, even after finishing it I was still thinking about it for weeks.

The original Resi 2 and 3 were some of my all time favorite gates. Remakes a cool but I do not want to forget these games just because of them.

The OG RE4 is fantastic. RE5’s gameplay and mercenaries though, unbeatable!

Gotta say that is an eclectic list. I wish I could get into undertale. I’ve tried a few times but after like 30 minutes I’m falling asleep

I remember writing WJQK on the side of my bed as a kid. It was a code for zombies ate my neighbors, I think it was like level 40 or something, only one citizen left to save. This was before you could look up level codes easily online, and this wasn't a particularly good code or anything, but I was determined to beat the game from this spot because it was the only code I had memorized, and to this day I still remember that level code. Man so many memories from that game, anyway thanks for the nostalgia trip.

Gonna check out Nier Automata. Tunic is a revelation. And RE 4 is one of the all time best. Good list.

Tunic is so amazing

Tunic is great. Loved the manual stuff. But it’s almost impossible to get through on your own.

Tunic is by far the best Non-MV MV ever made. Nier Automata is also one of my favorites... I've never gotten past the first couple hours but i know it's great. It has such great "Plot". Also every time i boot it up i play 10 min just to pause the game and let the music play all day. Also that first part is a lie cuz Tunic actually IS an MV. You get a dash that lets you "platform" later in the game and that counts for me.

Holy crap! Sin and Punishment! I haven't thought of that game in so long. It frickin ruled though. I share your take on shooters and on Doom Eternal being an exception. Curious if you've played Returnal.

BROTHER if you are interested in an indie game with philosophy i totally recommend Disco Elysium. Like, holy hell you have to play it.
