Based upon recently declassified files of the British War Department and inspired by true events, THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE is an action-comedy that tells the story of the first-ever special forces organization formed during WWII by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a small group of military officials including author Ian Fleming. The top-secret combat unit, composed of a motley crew of rogues and mavericks, goes on a daring mission against the Nazis using entirely unconventional and utterly “ungentlemanly” fighting techniques. Ultimately their audacious approach changed the course of the war and laid the foundation for the British SAS and modern Black Ops warfare.

I just hope it doesn't affect Reacher because this movie did so well that he becomes too expensive to hire to do Reacher or that he asks for a lot more and then the show end up cancelled because they can't afford him anymore. Especially because he plays the lead.

@@diegosalvatore6871 he was one of the turtles in the movie, and he was talking about how they were treated poorly and lied to about the amount of exposure they’d get. Obviously being in a costume for the whole movie, where the audience can’t see your face isn’t great for an actor. But they were told they would be pushed in the media, and in the marketing so people would know who they were, but it never happened. He also spoke about how they’d always be the last to leave set because they were on a fixed wage, whereas the crew and other actors would get paid overtime, so to avoid paying them overtime, they would make them get on the buses first, and leave the turtles actors waiting hours for a ride back to the hotel…because they weren’t paid overtime

Just went to see it last night with my husband- we left the theater smiling!! That hasn’t happened in a LONG time. it’s pretty hilarious with spectacular action scenes, and all the actors have a very natural chemistry with each other!

They shoot around 7 people in that room and there's not a drop of blood, it's more like a popcorn action/comedy flick. It looks like a bit of fun tbf, but I don't think I'll be seeking it out after watching the trailer. (Just my opinions)

In the actual movie, he is speaking in German and there are subtitles. They just did it that way in the trailer so Americans pick up quickly that the guy is telling a joke. Enjoy the film! It's a great scene!

@hardluck8732 I didn't think I needed to elborate, but what I "want" to watch as a consumer, who is willing to pay real money to go to a real cinema with friends - is not another documentary, retelling of a true story or a political reflection of ideologies conflicting with modern cultures - but a stupid, silly, comedy with a black and white, good vs bad, simple plot. I'm sick of woke and artistic garbage and just want some good all fashion, guilt free fun to watch and laugh with the boys about.

Cavill looks like he had a blast making this. And Alan's comedic Thad Castle mixed with Reachers badassery fits perfectly. Everyone seems like they loved making this and the trailer is awesome.

Doing an action comedy while acting in pretty much the same way he does in everything is not range. His performances have all been similar regardless of the film, as most of his films are popcorn flicks that are made for entertainment. He normally plays the hero character and this is no different. The most different I saw him was in MI:Fallout and even then it was still a light action film with comedy elements. I'd like to see him actually try a serious performance for once, I think he has the ability.

None of them were modern standards hot though, and none of the rather normally proportioned men were built like they were juiced up and ripped. Or black. It's just current day nonsense again.

The book was great. This really needs to be a mini-series. From the eccentric Brits in the labs, fighting the Ministry of Defense, to the daring (and crazy) agents who carried out the missions.

Good to see Alan Ritchson getting more roles as of late. Dude is immensely talented both as a comedic and dramatic actor. For reference go watch him in Reacher and then watch him in Blue Mountain State. Those roles couldn’t be more different

I read the book “Churchill’s Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” years ago, they had a lot of good material to base this on. Soldier, Sailor, Frogman, Spy, Airman, Gangster, Kill & Die
