Sajida Rashid claims to have a unique selling point for her gray hair prevention formula but questions arise over it's safety, testing process and efficacy. Does Sajida hold the miracle cure or is it 'too extraordinary to be true'?
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

I am amazed at the speed at which Deborah goes through legal documents. I wonder how much of the shows have a preceding element, when any relevant documents are inspected. I know that happens on the American equivalent of Antiques Roadshow, say.

@@roberthutchins4297 100% I am completely sure they get a good look at all the documents beforehand, and I also imagine the show is quite scripted on the dragon side, especially with regards to the point in time they have to drop "bombshells". It only makes sense; good TV needs good pacing and tension to keep it interesting. I would be very interested to see a behind the scenes for dragon's den tbf

Just want to add that the chemical that was tested on animals is called glycerin. If you've ever used lotion, soap, eaten ice cream (even the organic ones, because glycerin is organic) or basically all make-up products then you've used/eaten glycerin. The same chemical Deborah berated this woman for including in her product, Deborah also uses in her own products that she sells, and yes, if she buys the glycerin from China then it was tested on animals (and I guarantee she buys it from China because they produce the cheapest). Electricity was first tested on animals, should we not use it because of that? A majority of her "shtick" on this show is to misconstrue or completely misread/misinterpret basic chemical knowledge. There is a reason Deborah goes straight for the MSDS sheets of products, and its because you have to be trained to read them properly and if not, you can make up basically any inflammatory statement you want about any product.

@@ellenkarlsson9490 I'm just trying to point out that Deborah framed this thing incorrectly. The X-grey lady never tested her product on an animal. She bought glycerin from a company that was legally required to test it on animals. Again, if you buy any chemical from China, as many (most) small companies do, then you bought a product that was tested on an animal.

Well she said that she improved the strength of the formula by 6 times than the companies like L'Oréal etc use , so yea it must work , the dragons were just scared and pissed that it's not something like a fool with a pot of gold came to them for their help so they could milk the fool for bollock amount of profits. Her product may not be the first but it may definitely end up being a hit seller in saloon space . There are hair loss/fall products so flushed in markets and people does try them out of their misery, u ever heard of a hairfall product that actually works? Hehe 😁, this could have atleast saw some sales from the people who suffers from grey hair genetically or at an early age
@carpii
@carpii 5 жыл бұрын
@@Mashburn007 Yes but when asked how she can prove it works, she mostly just explained what the chemical agent is believed to do. She isnt a chemist, and so when she says she improved it by 6 times, she most likely means it was simply concentrated. Besides, she has no exclusivity on the substance, so in the unlikely event it is effective, there's nothing stopping L'Oreal licensing the same substance from the manufacturer, improving it in their labs (no doubt with much more resources than she had access to), and then any market share she does build is simply eliminated

I suspect a 'cure' for grey hair may one day come onto the market but that product has to work from the inside to change those factors which lead to the hair changing colour. This appears to me to be like a dye. If I wanted to have green hair I am sure I could go to a chemist and get a green dye. I also think that there will be a cure for baldness one day which will also work from inside.

It’s true what Deborah said! If anyone invent a product that you put in the hair and will never get you grey that person would be a billionaire! That would be an amazing breakthrough.

I love that KZfaq's automatic subtitles were able to detect the emphasis on "not" when Debora said, "but I am NOT"

@@agg5984 I'll agree with cosmetic products not being tested on animals, I think the cosmetic industry is waaay outta proportion in general but broadly criticising animal testing which saves millions of lives in the long run is just stupid.

Biggest concern for men over 40 would be going bald, and not being able to get an erection. I'm 43 and proud of my full head of gray streaked hair, lady! As are almost all men my age.
