The Monorail Loop - Exploring Walt Disney World

In front of the Magic Kingdom is the Seven Seas Lagoon, the man made lake that some say is the true heart of Walt Disney World, and the best way around the lagoon is the world famous Walt Disney World Monorail! The TTC, The Polynesian, The Grand Floridian, The Contemporary Resort, and of course the Magic Kingdom itself are our stops as we travel the Highway in the Sky (and for a second, the Steam train through the swamp) on today's Randomland Adventure!

The Contemporary Resort will always be my Disney home away from home. Only been down there twice, and living up in Connecticut we always want the trip to stand out at every waking moment. All the other resorts do feel special from reviews and videos, but something about having the express option of going to Magic Kingdom and back on the majestic monorail on top of the aesthetics of the rooms and building, are just perfect. It just screams "Welcome!"

Mary Blair was my relative,...she did the artwork for that tile-mural and It`s a Small World, and many many more....missed you AGAIN! Gahhhhh (you can also take theEPCOT monorail loop from TTC to EPCOT and back)

We always take a day to relax and explore the hotels and ride the monorail. It's a great way to spend a day. The Contemporary has a really good smell, it's very distinct.

Justin, you are one of the most entertaining vloggers around. I'm saving this video to watch again whenever I need cheering up after a hard day. The section on Grand Floridian is Too Funny!! Your knowledge of Disney history is so impressive. I appreciate all the time you dedicate to learning more about your subjects, whether it's Route 66, Disney, or one of the spur of the moment trips you make, as when you visited your Uncle. You needed to ask to sit in the front cabin of the monorail, if WDW still allows that. Back in the mid '90s I got to ride several times in the front cabin of the monorails and one time the engineer driving it allowed me to operate the throttle, controlling the speed of the monorail train. It was a unique WDW experience!

We lost our car at epcot I wonder how often that happens? Took us awhile but we finally found it didn't help it was a rental and it seemed like everyone had the same car. Lol

Jason Nothelfer we did that too when I was little. It was after closing and we had to keep walking to find our car. We couldn't remember what it looked like because it was a rental too lol

The Polynesian Resort is the best place to go just for the DoleWhip,....no line, places to sit, a great oasis of DoleWhippedness. You should go to the BRUNCH at Narcoosee`s,.....incredible.

I went to Disney world years ago (I'm in England, can't get there often). And used the monorail. I'm a wheelchair user and decided to pull a wheelie just at the exact moment the monorail started to move, it was at that moment I learned a thing or two about the laws of physics, I'm just glad it was almost empty......

The only other place where you can walk out of your hotel in the morning and have only a five minute walk to the park is the Beach Club Resort. It's quite literally a five-minute walk from EPCOT. I've timed it!! Speaking of which, Justin...have you or will you do a video about the 'water bridges'?

My favorite hotel at WDW is a tie between Animal Kingdom lodge, and the Contemporary. It’s so hard to choose between these two for me. I love them both so much!

you would LOVE Aulani Resort if you love the Polynesian Hotel it's super expensive, but worth it. I went with my family back in 2015, and it was one of the most relaxing experiences ever. the scavenger hunt is a lot of fun too

Yes!! Love monorails. They seem to be working more regular in your video. Mark VI are getting long in tooth though; time for upgrade! Polynesian is my all time fav Disney hotel.
