About the Talk:
The project of wholesale distortions of the history of medieval Muslim atrocities in India ranks as one of the greatest subversions of the Hindu psyche. However, what does it show when even a comparatively recent event like the barbaric genocide of Hindus in Malabar at the hands of Moplah Muslims is whitewashed and more or less buried? Most of our history textbooks and other texts simply refer to this horrific mass murder merely as a "rebellion." This lecture attempts to dig out the real facts of this tragic genocide using primary sources and eyewitness reports and other material to expose the real truth behind the mass murder of Malabar Hindus.

About the Speaker: -
Sandeep Balakrishna is a veteran writer, author, editor, speaker, columnist and independent researcher for about 20 years writing on Indian Philosophy, Literature, Indian History, Temples, and Indian Culture. During the course of this period, he has authored over 800 articles, essays, critiques and academic papers and delivered lectures articles on numerous topics in these areas. He writes in both English and Kannada. His articles, columns and research papers have appeared in prestigious journals, newspapers and magazines in both print and digital format and cited by the BBC, India Today, DailyO, Firstpost, Swarajya, Prekshaa Journal, Mint, CNN, and Outlook, among others.

I remember my grandfather explaining me his experience during this genocide, he lived through this as a child. He reaccounted lot of stories of the horrors and tragedy faced by the hindus. This created deep inside him a hatred for Gandhi and Nehru.

When Jews can make movies on the atrocities on them. Indian can make movies of atrocities on scheduled caste, why can’t make movies on Mopla violence and Direct Action Day. When will hindus learn ? Why can’t they turn the ride.

As a person coming from Valuvunad area in Kerala, my grandmother had told us the atrocities she underwent. She was lucky to run in to open fields. Sadly, when I used tell this to mu colleagues in Kerala, they used to laugh at me. as this subject was a taboo. Finally it is being discussed openly.

My grandfather lived through this terrible hindu genocide by the Moplahs. He did not talk about it much except that he never wanted the name of Gandhi to be uttered in his presence. He had no love lost for muslims in north malabar where he grew up. Now I know why and it makes my blood boil that it is us hindus who always gave in time and again only to be betrayed each time. I personally have no regard for either Gandhi or Nehru. India would've seen much better days without them. Alas, one can't rollback time or history.

My blood is boiling, eyes are crying and heart is beating very fast. I'm watching the videos of ISKCON and Acharya Shri Ram Sharma for some days and somehow I came to this channel. Thank you thank you thank you so much to the admin group of this channel for sharing the buried blood-stained history of our ancestors and our motherland. RIP all our Ancestors. I never heard a word about this. It is never mentioned in any book . Rather we were taught about khilafat rebellion and how it was successful. Such type of painted history we are studying.

I am 60 years living abroad, did my study in India. 100 years later learning this fact with teary eyes. Can it be certified legally genocide then Congress accountable. Once it brought in main Street media and every men and child would know. Meantime we need to figure it out our actions.

My great grandmother was one of the victim during this Malabar rebellion(or mass genocide of Hindus) she was a kid who narrowly escaped when the mappilas(aka Muslims) tries to break into their house. They had a backdoor and ran into the forest. The sufferings they had back then were unbearable. I've already known all these because my grandmother used to say these things to us before in secondary standards, and I do remember that the school teachers and the textbook were mentioned as a rebellion against the British. There is so much whitewash going throughout syllabus history books.
