A number of Euro companies make after-market multi-shot 'magazines' for these exact bows. They can be fitted to crossbows using the existing fittings without drilling or machining. They do raise the 'sight over bore' axis a bit but the advantage of 5, 8 or more shots before a reload is tempting. It changes the game quite a lot.

I've got the version with the conventional limbs, works very well, it's pretty consistent with accuracy, the construction is solid. I like it a lot. I wish they had a small attachable quiver, the ones you can get like the Barnett quiver is made for the thicker, 7" bolts, so it doesn't work with the thinner bolts you get from Ballista BAT. The other thing is their broadheads (not fancy, but certainly functional) are 44 grains, the lightest field points I've found are either 40gr or 50gr (went with the 50s) - if you put a standard (100+ gr) broadhead or field point on the bolts, the drop is more pronounced and you lose some of the velocity. The accuracy I got with mine was about 2" at 25 yards standing - the trigger is pretty stiff - it can probably shoot tighter with a solid rest.

That is a neat little thingy. For fishing, it's nice and light. Would be good for gar fishing and Carp and stuff in Florida. I see these bowfishing setups for sale online, with spincast reels. My first spincast reel that my parents bought me when I was a kid, I hooked a big carp and my reel literally exploded onto the grass, parts flying everywhere. Just use some light rope and a reel made for heavier line, like a winch.

@@StepOneSurvival I have a functional replica that my friend gifted me. but it uses compressed gas and corq disks to fire the bolts so it's not necessarily a crossbow. And it can only shoot custom order aluminum bolts. But it's fully automatic, can shoot at 80 bolts a minute, and has a magazine capacity of 50 bolts. Sadly however the bolts only travel at 50 F.P.S and the thing weighs 84 pounds but it's meant as a semi functional showpiece for cosplay and live action role-playing which is a hobby my friend has.

Dumb question but can you remove the fore-grip and the holder for the stupid aim? To be more similar to a regular pistol.

@@StepOneSurvival checked the Ballista site the crossbow is 16inches so illegal in Canada "Crossbows that you can aim and fire with one hand, and those with an overall length of 500 mm (about 19.68 inches) or less, are prohibited", out of luck

Ok, this thing is around for about a year now. I own one. With a magazine. 1. Box magazine is not very good. You can't really use it with regular broadheads and those 5.4 OD thin shafts. The nocks are also special. 2. There is custom set of strings for it, and the bowstring is about 12mm shorter than the default one. 3. There are nocks for it in a couple of archery shops in Europe, and glue-in broadheads for "X-Bow FMA REV", with replaceable blades. Not really broad tough. 4. You can buy adapter tong for use with thicker shafts and handle with telescopic stock for it, or 3d printer adaper for glock rip-off foldable buttstock 5. 200lb limb set exists. but is pricy. Chinese rumored to have 235-250 limbs evaluated for spec ops arny use, so they don't sell them.

I would love to find a X-Bow FMA REV in 150lbs, but i'm only able to find the 120 versions in the Netherlands, they still advertise the same 420fps? 🤔
