Simple asparagus gnocchi pan in white creamy sauce - Imagine: tender white asparagus, gently fried in fragrant butter, seasoned with a pinch of salt, a hint of caramel-scented cane sugar, freshly ground nutmeg and a pinch of pepper. This asparagus unfolds its full aroma as it slowly simmers and develops its unique taste.
Add to this the hearty gnocchi, fried until golden and ready to absorb the creamy texture of the asparagus. With a glaze of delicate milk (or a seductive mixture of cream and milk), the pan becomes a feast of flavors.
And to top it all off, we must not forget to sprinkle the mild hard cheese on top to take the taste of our asparagus gnocchi pan to a new level. The perfect interplay of tender, creamy and hearty - a real treat for the palate!
Ingredients for the asparagus gnocchi pan:
500 g asparagus
30 g butter
Approx. ½ -1 tsp salt
Optionally a pinch of sugar (I use brown cane sugar)
A little nutmeg, preferably freshly ground
Pepper to taste
500 g gnocchi
300 ml milk (or 100-200 ml cream + rest of water or milk)
Possibly approx. 100 g hard cheese
Preparation:
1. To prepare this delicious dish, we need 500 g white asparagus, which we fry in butter and season with salt, sugar, nutmeg and pepper. Then we simmer the asparagus for another 3-5 minutes.
2. Then we add 500 g gnocchi and pour 300 ml milk over it (or a mixture of cream and water or milk).
3. Optionally, we can add some hard cheese to perfect the creamy consistency.
In just a few steps, we have prepared a delicious and easy asparagus gnocchi pan that will delight you. Enjoy!
